track2004
Um... just so everyone knows... Schizophrenia is characterized by hallucinations or delusions, hearing voices, and other stuff. Multiple Personality Disorder (aka Dissociative Identity Disorder) would be the one with a 'we' mentality within the patient. I'm a Psych student... sorry to be all by the book... cmotherofpirl
MPDs have whole communities of people to talk to. Schizo hear voices and have conversations with themselves so "we" is appropriate for them as well.
track2004
MPDs don't really, typically, talk to the other personalitites, sometimes personalities are even unaware the other ones exist. Schizos think they are talking to other people, They are delusional. For instance, A Beautiful Mind was about Mr. Nash's fight with schizophrenia. So they wouldn't really say "we" unless they thought they were talking for their delusions too.

MPDs can have conversations between different personalities, so they are "we's". Schizos can think they are talking for their delusions, and some of them do use "we". So do editiors, royalty, and people with tapeworms. :
