I have both IE and Firefox, but still prefer IE over it.
I have both and I prefer Firefox. :D

Much faster, much cleaner, the tabs rock, and the skins are pretty cool, too...

I use Firefox almost exclusively. I only use IE for two things. First there have been a few company websites where I have tried to submit my resume and it didn't work because the site had non-standard code that would only work with IE. Second, I check my websites every now and then with IE to make sure the people who haven't gotten with the program and still use it can see my sites OK....

;)

BTW - I also use Thunderbird as my email client and RSS feed reader....

i use ie....mostly because my computer is slow and i'm going to reinstall windows prolly this weekend, so i figured there was no point in adding another program. i'm thinking of getting it once i get my computer set up again.

Firefox! When I used IE, I had SO many problems with spyware because IE is very insecure and most spyware designers make stuff that exploits its loopholes. Now I have no problems with it. :D

Get SpywareBlaster by the way, especially if you use IE. It prevents the bad stuff getting onto your machine in the first place.

A) IE's security has improved since Windows Service Pack 2.

B) IE has been and still is the most widely used internet browser, so majority of designers make spyware/adware specifically for IE. If Firefox was the most widely used browser compared to IE, designers would turn their focus to Firefox users instead. Though if Firefox does become the dominate browser in the future, spyware/adware will follow.

IE is still awful, though. Go onto any tech geek type forum, and anyone with a spyware problem is immediately told "Using IE? Stop!"

Yes, that's true, but Windows computers come with IE already installed as the default browser and not many people actually look into alternatives like Firefox. So I think spyware designers will continue to target IE for the forseeable future.
