Andrea348
Did you ever base the outfit you wear to Mass off of the liturgical colors? I was just picking my outfit for Mass tonight and was going to wear a violet colored shirt, and then I remembered it's Gaudate Sunday, and I decided to change to a rose shirt. I'm such a dork. Is anyone else guilty?

Andrea348
Good Friday last year almost the ENTIRE choir was dressed in red. We all wondered if the congregation noticed.

journeyman
. . . i was thinking about that today DURING mass. . . . when i noticed the color coordination so many people had. . . . i wondered how many others did it on purpose. then i slapped my hand for not focusing on the mass
I caught myself doing the same thing . . . I noticed it was a lot more prevalent among the ladies than the men . . . although one guy had a fire engine red sweater - which I would have thought was just a tad off . . . liturgically speaking . . . IcePrincessKRS
Half the church this morning was dressed in gold and black..if you live in PA, you know why
Or anywhere close to Pittsburgh even if its across the state line. lol I never think to coordinate my colors with the liturgical season. Heck, most of the time I forget to wear green on St. Patty's day, if I end up wearing it its by sheer coincidence. One year my friends and I decided to wear black on Fridays during Lent (thats the only time I ever intentionally did something like that) and St. Patrick's day fell on a friday. Some people got MAD at us and asked if we were anti-St. Patrick's day. lol We had just completely forgotten and gone on with our Friday "ritual."
