Hi everyone! This is an interesting post that got started because I am discerning to be a future bride of Christ. It is so so important to love the Lord and have Him be your number One before any other guy.
Can you pray for my little sis? She's 15 and she is totally into that whole independent, feminist thing where its "I'm never going to get married" or "if I do get married, I'm never going to have kids, I'll be too busy with my career." What is up with that?? <_<
She needs lots of prayers.

Praying for you all, married, un-married, waiting to be married :)

Love,
Mel

What's up with that is that there are way to many lies trying to steal away womanhood by just turning it into manhood. How on earth does virtually becoming men glorify femininity?!

I've already been on this thread. It was my idea, anyway.

Well in answer to your question - it doesn't. I find that the most feminist girls also refuse to dress like girls, act like girls, or in any way engage their own femininity. They also tend to claim to hate kids and a large number of the militant ones are lesbians. Go figure.

As far as getting married is concerned: Prayers for my life of celibacy and monasticism.

one time they almost had me. I was at a wedding and my brother in law literally dragged me to the dance floor kicking and screaming to try and catch the bridal bouquet....... I ran as fast as I could away from that cursed thing! [/quote]
buahahaha...funniness. That's awesome for the imagination.

Not everyone is called to married life. God has just as much use for a woman that does not have children or get married as he does for a married mother of eight.

I am not maried and not particularily interested in either marriage or kids and I will be 23 in a few weeks. Do I feel guilty? Heck NO! :P

Am I treated like half a couple by my marreid and dating and wanting to get married ASAP freinds?.......sometimes.

There are three vocations at least not two.... it is not get married or become a nun.
Being single is an option.

Your sister is also young, by the time she is 20 she will probably feel differently, it is part of growing up. ;)

I think you have a good point Balthazor, but there is also an unhealthy rejection of the married vocation that cannot be ignored, some people act like marriage and having children is some sort of disease or something and thats just sad.
