Don John of Austria
"The Jewish religion as it is today traces its descent without a break, through all the centuries, from the Pharisees." Universal Jewish Encyclopedia
Well does it suprise you that Rabbinical Judaism would defend itself in such a way-- The fact is the judaism of Christ time died with the temple Priest in AD 70. Rabbinical judaism was an attempt to salvage what they could, but it is notthe same religion.
hyperdulia again
No, it is an attempted re-creation of that same Sanhedrin. However, Judaism, as it existed in the time of Christ, no longer exists. Todays version is a fabrication. Many prots are all for this carp. It makes sense. They are also members of fabricated religions.
You might one day pass Don John and my beloved Winnie on my "my heroes list."
What the Universal Jewish Encyclopedia alludes to is that the oral tradition of the Pharisees, the tradition that makes God's law of none effect, went with the Pharisees and Rabbis after the destruction of the temple to Babylon where it was written down in the Babylonian Talmud and what later became the Kabbalah. It was because of the destruction of the temple and Diaspora that the Judaics decided that their oral tradition needed to be written down if it was to survive. It was written down and it does survive today in the Babylonian Talmud and the Kabbalah.
