dtofdh
Demonslayer, I'm not at all familiar with the music of Stavesacre. I was only around when Mark was in the Crucified. The Crucified was one of the very first hardcore/punk Christian bands out there. They were an awesome band too(musically). They did lead a lot of people to the Lord, though. Its too bad they were so off-base about the Church. It's a real bummer that so many Christian bands are so heavily anti-Catholic. I really see them as being totally ignorant on the matter, and in need of enlightenment. It really burdens me when I hear so much anti-Catholic rhetoric. Since I'm around so many of these people in the Christian music scene.... I have appointed myself as "Saint Douglas...Defender of the Faith!!!" I know.... I'm nowhere near being a saint yet...but I definitely have my ministry cut out for me. You'd be amazed at how many Catholic bashers there are out there. DemonSlayer
Are there any other Christian bands you know of that are also/might be anti-Catholic other than the ones I've mentioned in this thread? hopeful1
i don't know alot about other christian metal bands, but i do have some friends in a local christian metal band called "New Offering" in florida. Their website is here at www.newoffering.net. I know their drummer is catholic, and he plays over at my church. um, i know two of their members used to be (one grew up in a family that didn't really practice, didn't have the best childhood, so he never really did have a good understanding of it. the other one, i don't know the entire circumstances, but for some reason, her whole family left, and i don't know how old she was when they did. her father also used to work for a catholic tv station. ) However, neither one of them have shown disrespect for the church (unless inadverdantly out of ignorance) in their personal lives nor , to my knowledge, in their lyrics. Either way, please keep them in prayer, and if that doesn't stop you, feel free to check them out.

SevenSorrows
what's up with that metal band "lamb of God". I saw their cd, but didn't even want to find out.
Oik
There was an interview with lamb of God in the HM magazine (it was like the dec issue I think). Pretty much they are just a secular metal-hardcore band (heavy metal, breakdowns, metal vox, and metal riffs). They are decent, musically. I haven't read lyrics. They don't really have any religion. I don't think they are s*tanic. They seemded a little uninformed. I think the singer was raised in an atheist home, so he just doesn't really believe anything.
