Dreamweaver
I love metal, I love Christian metal. Nothing more really needs to be said.
DemonSlayer
The primary reason I listen to metal bands made up of Christians is because they're mostly not anti-Christian/Catholic, unlike most secular metal bands.
SevenSorrows
hmmmm...well if I say that I don't like them...then that would be me saying I don't like my music.....hmmm tough one Listen to Vengeance I even get to scream on this song..hehehe (I am the deeper voice) but anyway seriously....it might not be ideal music because you can't understand the lyrics at first listen....but since SOOOO many people only listen to that music, it is great to have a Christian alternative. Hardcore is my thing, so I love hxc Christian bands like zao, sinai beach, underoath, xdeathstarx and many more.

DemonSlayer
In terms of Christian HXC, I like Blessed by a Broken Heart, Comeback Kid, Inked in Blood, Bloodlined Calligraphy, Anam Cara, In Due Time, Shockwave & Silence the Epilogue. I like Underoath and Zao too, but they're metalcore.

FingO
First of all, hi everyone! I used to hear lotsa metal stuff some years ago, and now since some months I hear again some metal from time to time... Concerning christian metal: Well, I respect it when some folks sing about christianity in what genre ever. If the lyrics are totally christian, i respect the lyrics. But I have two problems with christian lyrics in metal (in reggae its quite similar): - Sometimes they are more anti-catholic than pro-christian. If I hear things like Saviour Machine - Antichrist II (which is imho a direct attack on the church, as Eric Clayton said in one Interview), I can't see them as a christian band anymore (Ok, I still love the music, but I also love some kinda secular stuff)! -Another weak link is sometimes that the lyrics are too soft... if I hear death/grind or other REAL BRUTAL stuff, I think lyrics like "Jesus, i love you, guide me" etc. doesn't fit at all. Ok, there are positive examples for good lyrics (Terminate damnation for instance), but all the other should ponder wether christianity is something soft and smooth....No? Then why are your lyrics soft and smooth!?!? Anyway, I respect Bands like Horde, VIXIVI (the old, Soekende siel-Stuff), Crimson moonlight, Kekal (contra spiritualia nequitae), old Mortification, sometimes Paramaecium..... I hate bands that just have the same emotion for every song...they are screaming cause they are happy, sad, mad, in love, and everything in between. that is why we try to mix it up. Our screamy song is about being P'd at the devil and wanting vengeance...can't get much more mad that that. Our new song has some screaming cause it is an anti-abortion song. Firstly, Paramaecium is definitely anti-Catholic too, and so are Jacob's Dream, Metanoia, xDiscipleX AD, Lament, also possibly Extol and Ultimatum (based on their opposition to "religious Christianity" in certain lyrics). FingO
Well Saviour Machine are pretty Anti-Catholic: Eric Clayton makes a difference between religion and faith and he follows he huntian thesis that the babylonian whore is the vatican.... DemonSlayer
I haven't even listened to any of their music. I actually thought Paramaecium, xDiscipleX AD and Lament were pretty good bands, but then I found out that they were clearly anti-Catholic (mainly from interviews). I think a lot of Christian bands differentatiate between faith (Christianity) and religion, and are against religion, although whether they are anti-Catholic or not is unclear.
