If that was not the impression you were trying to give, I appologize.
This is nothing but propaganda...just like their page on the schism. However, even they can't deny that the filioque was invented in the West and went against previous teachings try as they might to cloud things.

I will give you more info on that chapel if you want.
The King that commissioned the painting was Lithuanian, so he was Orthodox. He might have Converted to Catholicism. I don;t remember.
But yeah, Poland and Lithuania were a commonwealth back in the day, there are interesting influences when you get to the eastern part of Poland.

But right now I have to get back to work.
Have fun talk to you later.

:)

Yeah funny thing about that was Lithuania being pagan for much of that period. Last big pagan empire. I like the Teutonic Knights. Sure they're catholic and killed orthodox christians but they're German holy knights. Being of German background and Catholic background I have a fondness for the little guys. Hence the avatar.

it seemed to claim that the Greek Fathers from the early days were supportive of the Ghost proceeding from the Father and the Son.
I found this one interesting as well.

hmmm...

St. Athanasius writes in about 360 to Serapion of Thmius:

> Insofar as we understand the special relationship of the Son to
> the Father, we also understand that the Spirit has this same
> relationship to the Son. And since the Son says, "everything
> that the Father has is mine (John 16:15)," we will discover all
> these things also in the Spirit. through the Son. And just as
> the Son was announced by the Father, who said, "This is my
> beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased (Matthew 3:17)," so also
> is the Spirit of the Son; for, as the Apostle says, "He has
> sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts, crying, 'Abba!
> Father!' (Galatians 4:6)."

Haha. Wrong quote. And I'm not a "he." Though I know you didn't say it. Even though I'm quoting you. I should probably go to bed now...
Aye, true, he was a sinner, but I would not put my stock into a man so emotional unstable to be my "Pillar and Foundation of Truth".
Why not? Roman Catholics put their faith in a man so emotionally unstable as Pope Leo X to be their pillar and foundation of Truth.
Though then again you are at liberty in Protestantism at the buffet of beliefs, to pick and choose truth as you are most comfortable with.
Don't be a fool, Bro. Adam. The doctrine of election makes the fleshly part of me (not my Spirit - my Spirit rejoices in the great mercy shown in Election) squirm and want to reject it. But I do not - the Word of God constrains me to believe its truth.
