Paladin D
Just one comment before I leave this tiresome thread. A & CC, for people who like to rail against freedom of speech, sure are having a hard time when it's denied them! Why don't you guys just accept dUst's authority like the good monarchists you are?
That is interesting.
amarkich2
I thought we had finished all of this, but I suppose I was wrong. I pray this will be my last reply, but if people will continue to make comments directed toward me, I will continue to reply. I wish you had just let it rest after my farewell comments. Now, I am a monarchist. I do not believe in freedom of speech. That does not mean I am some kind of Nazi. I believe only true speech should be tolerated. If I am speaking the truth, I do not expect to be censored. That is the logic behind the fact that I am remaining (until this thread is ended) in order to defend myself and my reputation, in keeping with Canon Law. God bless and farewell. --Adam Markich
RandomProddy
I do not believe in freedom of speech. That does not mean I am some kind of Nazi. I believe only true speech should be tolerated. If I am speaking the truth, I do not expect to be censored.
So if I was in power and I though you were wrong, I should legally be allowed to silence you. So why do you have a problem with Dust silencing you on his turf? amarkich2
Because truth is not subjective. The fact is that there is no proof for my views being wrong. In fact, there is plenty of proof that they are correct. With this being said, it is unjust to silence them. Sorry for the inadequate answer; I am writing a paper that is due for my class at 6:30. It is currently 6:12. God bless.
dUSt
To be clear, nobody at phatmass has ever been or ever will be banned because of their views, arguments or beliefs. I distinctly remember Bruce bashing phatmass by telling everyone that he was banned because of his arguments, which was absolutely false. I don't feel compelled to defend these accusations for the most part because anybody who's been around phatmass for an extended amount of time knows that it takes a lot more than one's views to get banned. A lot more. Just an FYI for all the noobs who might be reading this.
dairygirl4u2c
I think it'd be big of at least one moderator to admit that they show partiality to moderating non-catholics. I'd imagine that they are not showing the full picture if no one does... it's only human. But for what it's worth, I agree with dust's last statement. jasJis
Unfortunately I've read this entire thread. Planks and splinters. I read today that 40% of Americans are currently taking perscription drugs. Who makes Paxcil?
Mary's Knight, La
dairygirl, in my experiences reading many many topics here, i assure you a majority of the moderator actions are taken against those who claim to be catholic if you read guidelines you would read more is expected of catholics on this board than of non-catholics. one who is already damp can quite easily be told they are not wet enough, one who has only ever been dry must first get comfortable with the concept of not-dry. noncatholicname
Can we please grow up? You know that's not the case, and now you're just spouting off. If you don't like what certain people are saying, take it up with them, or report it if it's really offensive. But don't accuse the mods, who have alot more work to do in keeping the forums the way they are than you seem to think.
Grow up? Listen, little kids act like this. Hey, I'm gonna ban someone, and tell the whole board I did it. Doesn't anyone think that it all should have been kept private? Or when it comes time for you to be banned for one reason or another, you would love to have the mods on the board going, Hey, we banned azaelia because of... Yeah, I'm sure you would.
