Balthazor
ACtually the broken cross has some roots in the SLovak countries and in their early Christian art ( I even believe pre 600). Hence it is even more appropriate for JPII to use it as it is his own background.
I though that was the double cross..... Such as seen on the slovak flag
Mary's Knight, La
one last logical refutation why do so few people speak against it, if it is obviously satanic, then why has no bishop complained, better yet, I watch tbn from time to time why haven't i seen anything on there, or the 700 club or any other christian media. If it is such an easy and clear to latch onto sign where are the true christians to rail against it to save souls.
yiannii
That's funny; last year and anti-Catholic acquaintance I know told me that the bent Crucifix was a secret Masonic symbol. There seems to be scandal every corner our Holy Father takes. Wouldn't you think that if the Holy Father was a satanist he would be doing more to mess up Christianity than carrying some symbol that means nothing to the majority of Catholics? Things like encouraging abortions or the use of condoms or even promoting homosexual marriages etc. In fact the Holy Father has been one of the only major figure heads to publicly speak out against such atrocities... hmmmm sounds like one majorly failed satanist to me. I wonder if satanic communities have people alerting them that one of their most powerful members is really a secret Christian.... I am laughing as I type. On a more serious note: The whole explanation of why the cross is bent makes a lot of sense to me - in fact it means a lot to me too! At first I did not particularly like this crucifix but when I looked at it again with this new insight I did get this overwhelming feeling of the weight of sin - the very symbolism that the weight could somehow bend wood like that means so much to me. Something good has come out of this post.
