no, its not the crucifix...hold for image conformation....

the Pontifical Crucifix JPII is holding:

the Catholic Church crucifix:

Please notice the Crucifix that Pope John Paul II is holding up to the people. Study it closely, and you will realize that it is not a Traditional Crucifix, as shown above. Rather, this Crucifix is known as a "Bent Cross". But, what does that mean? For the answer to that question, let us turn to a Roman Catholic author, Piers Compton, writing in his book, "The Broken Cross: Hidden Hand In the Vatican", Channel Islands, Neville Spearman, 1981.

This Bent Crucifix is "... a sinister symbol, used by Satanists in the sixth century, that had been revived at the time of Vatican Two. This was a bent or broken cross, on which was displayed a repulsive and distorted figure of Christ, which the black magicians and sorcerers of the Middle Ages had made use of to represent the Biblical term 'Mark of the Beast'. Yet, not only Paul VI, but his successors, the two John-Pauls, carried that object and held it up to be revered by crowds, who had not the slightest idea that it stood for anti-Christ." (p. 72) On page 56 Compton prints a picture of the current Pope, John Paul II, holding this bent or broken cross, just as we have shown.

do you need a flood to remind you of God's vengeful power?

or will a rainbow which is the promise He gave enough?

Christ went up on the cross, yes.

but did He not conquer it?

did He not leave it as I wear it...empty?

yep, we are literal Catholics, sort of like when He said, "this is My Body" THis is My Blood".

The Crucifix is the sign of Christianity, its the Body on the cross that is important, not the bare wood.

my goodness...........yes the pope is using a satanistic symbol to bless the faithful........also we all know that back in christs day they had wood factories making wood perfectly straight.......this "ungodly" symbol is probably more realistic

totally avoiding the topic...sidestepping it...dancing and pointing fingers in other directions...

thats fine.

he still holds a satanic symbol in his hand...nothing y'all say can change that.

lumberjack, you are not very well-read it seems on what a broken Cross is... a broken cross is what you see in the peace symbol. Turn the peace symbol upside-down, and you will see that it is a broken Cross... not a slightly bending piece of wood on the Cross...

Ironically, there was a long time in the history of Protestantism in which they rejected the use of crosses, just as they rejected the crucifix.

Oh...and by the way, did you protest the visual portrayal of Our Lord in Mel Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ?" If you didn't, you're guilty of idolotry, according to the same iconoclast Protestant logic that rejects the crucifix.

This all reminds me of the Remnant of God website. That's a good laugh!

dont take this the wrong way.....but i think the pope knows what he is doing........he is a very well educated man........and so are other advisers and such......and i would ahve to assume that they know a little more about this stuff than you do.....granted i dont really know you...but i think we both can assume that the pope knows what he is doing........

i PERSONALLY wouldn't wear a crucifix...thats YOUR personal opinion...I NEVER said I have anything against the crucifix.

and mateo, no I didn't have anything against The Passion...

I have something against this abhorrid image that is carried around in the name of Christ.
