jasJis
I've noticed that a number of foreign visitors come to this site/weblog. Some of them undoubtedly because I have linked to them and they've seen this site in their referrer logs. Since most of the foreign visitors don't speak Icelandic (and probably don't read it either) it is only fair to say a little bit about me and this site. I am an Icelandic theologian, currently working as a webmaster for the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Iceland. I am also one of the editors of Deus ex cinema which is the website of a group of academics that are working with religious themes in movies. I am greatly interested in systematic theology, especially Martin Luther and Lutheran theology in general. I am also interested in films (especially religious and theological themes within them) and in the web as such, in religion on the web and a number of other things that are much more evident to those who can read Icelandic. If you want to contact me, by all means do, the e-mail address is in the top right corner of the page. My skills are amazing..... B)

littleflower+JMJ
Undir yfirskriftinni "Mótmælendabiblíur" stendur viðvörunin: "Books have been removed." Hér er væntanlega verið að vísa til þess að apokrýfu bækurnar eru ekki með í sumum þýðingum. Sumar þessara bóka eru prýðilegar, en ég get nú ekki tekið undir það að biblíuþýðing sé gölluð ef þær fylgja ekki með. Það var í ljósi þessa sem Lúther taldi rétt að setja apokrýfu ritin til hliðar. url: http://www.annall.is/arni/2002-09-18/19.43.27 but what about phatmass? jasJis
Okay. Found a website that translated most of it. Basically it is a Luthern commenting on this site. It says it serves Catholic youth, it's not sure if it's Roman Catholic, but Evangelical Catholic. (he he he). It says that have people here that ratinalize Catholicism and explains that phatmass claims Luther took books out of the Bible. (I have no idea where they got that). It then defends Luther a bit and defends him against the Church being able to "crystalize" the texts of the Bible. (I think meaning determine). A lot did not get translated, and a lot got lost in idioms, but enough was available to determine the gist of it. Okay, a little awe would be welcome... <_<
IcePrincessKRS
Those poor misguided Luthrans.... Now I'm in awe, because you actually sorted through all the translation gibberish. hehe :D
