popestpiusx
After seeing that sig, (and going to that Mass every Sunday) I am even more sure of the fact that Jesus founded the Catholic Church (if it's possible to be more sure than I already am). mulls
i *personally* just don't see that as what Jesus had in mind. just seems so over the top. God wants "spirit and truth" worship, which comes across as much more....i don't know, simple?

(Hint: read about the temple rituals in the OT. Then read the Church Fathers explanations of how they prefigured worship in the New Covenant.) homeschoolmom
Yeah, this was something that clicked for me in becoming Catholic-- how much better the OT and the NT fit together... makes better sense to me... PS to PSPX (they are now selling peanut oil for deep frying turkeys everywhere here... the South is invading the North.... )
iheartjp2
In the denomination that I grew up in, I never learned anything about the Catholic Church. They never taught me anything about it, and they never taught me any anti-Catholicism (note, this is a pentecostal denomination, so this is VERY weird). When I started getting interested in Catholicism, I found out that Christianity is supposed to be in it's essence very Jewish, since most of the early Christians were Jews. Had the Greeks not given them the name "Christian", they would probably still be called Jews or "Neojews", or something along the lines 'til this day. To insinuate that protestantism is the church that Christ had in mind is very off the mark. Just look at the church for what it is. Buy some Catholic literature, look at the history of the liturature, the history of the church leaders, the doctrines and definitions. It's the only thing that really makes sense. They're all kneeling, worshipping Our Lord, Jesus Christ, present in the Eucharist. That's pretty simple. I'm trying to look at the picture with non-Catholic eyes (it's a stretch!). Potential hot-spots: 1) The use of incense 2) The Chalice 3) The priest's garments Am I getting close? Sorry if I'm a little slow. Please be patient.
