A Stunning Revelation!

I'd like to add my 2 cents for RCIA. It is well worth it! My parish has catechist teams that work with us on a rotating basis, and I've been blessed to meet some of the most intelligent, faithful people I've ever known. While being something of an outsider (until Easter vigil, anyway), I'm still made to feel completely welcomed and completely at home by my priest, my sponsor, and my catechists. It's an amesome program!

Good luck!

I'm SOOO happy for you Paladin! :D

Get to RCIA right away, maybe you should invite your mother and brother to join you. At the very least they can have their questions answered.

I had a wonderful experience in RCIA, with two wonderful priests, who (I must throw this is) even genuflect before the taberncle, and before receiving the Eucharist. What a wonderful time that was....

I have some more cleaning to do in my life!

That is truly wonderful news Paladin! (A "cradle Catholic" afterall.) Who knew? Well, apparently you did, way deep-down in your heart.

Do speak to a priest as soon as you are able to comfortably (i.e. - without upsetting the delicate balance of your parents and siblings) and try to get into RCIA as soon as you can. Try to have some more heartfelt talks with your mom and maybe, just maybe, she'll come with you.

Keep the faith! Hold true to the truth and Never Ever give up!

Ash Wednesday

I think that's strange that the priest would have said "this baptism doesn't count" because I thought one is only baptised once!

In fact Catholic layworkers can even perform a baptism in the event of an emergency and no priest is available.

Either way...... the RCIA is amesome. Get instructed, blessed, the Eucharist, Confirmation chrism, the whole enchilada!!! I'm a cradle Catholic but I've sponsored before.
