amarkich
Yes, you are mistaken about Mel Gibson. He is a Traditional Catholic. He is not a Sedevacantist, but his father may be. Mel was on Larry King (I believe in 1989) and said that he does not believe that the Novus Ordo Mass is valid. I do not know if he retains this belief today. Either way, he is not a Sedevacantist. He is a Traditional Catholic.
Guest Aluigi
Scott Hahn has talked extensively with Mel Gibson and he says Gibson is sedevantacist. To date there is no quote by him claiming that John Paul II is legitimate, so the best info we have on the subject, a first hand account of discussion with him, says he is most likely sedevanticist
amarkich
What discussion? The hearsay from Scott Hahn? That is calumny, not a legitimate source. Scott Hahn telling someone else what Mel Gibson said is not a primary source. You relating what Scott Hahn said about Mel Gibson is nowhere near a primary source. Further, if he does not claim to be a Sedevacantist, he is not. That is pretty ridiculous to say the opposite. Edit: Nevermind about Pascal; that is another argument altogether. conservativecatholic
Yes, you are mistaken about Mel Gibson. Mel Gibson's father believes that the Chair of St. Peter has been vacant since Vatican II. This is not Mel's belief. In fact, Mel Gibson is a practicing Catholic Traditionalist who recently constructed a beautiful Church at his house in California. While The Passion of the Christ was being filmed in Italy, Mel Gibson hired a priest to say Mass in Latin on the set every day. In conclusion, Mel Gibson is in communion with Rome- his father is not. By the way, Mel Gibson's father lives just 45 minutes away from my house.
