jmjtina
Okay, can't we just pray for holy, obedient, and prayerful semmies, rather than another NO vs. T debate? *cough* read the guidelines for the phorum..... *cough*
It's not a sin to criticize the Pope. In fact, it can be a sin not to if he is acting in a sinful manner. If someone would have said to Alexander VI: you need to stop having affairs, maybe there wouldn't have been the corruption.
You are correct. However, Our Holy Father, Pope John Paul II is not acting in a sinful manner. Again, even though much corruption has happened in the past, the Church still stands. Let's pray and be thankful for our semmies!!!! Pray for good, holy, and prayerful priests. Edited November 26, 2004 by jmjtina
conservativecatholic
The FSSP is awesome! I love the fact that people are realizing all of the tradition and beauty we neglected after the Second Vatican Council. The Catholic Church is now experiencing a Traditional Renaissance with hundreds of seminarians in countless traditional Latin orders throughout the world. May God bless FSSP! Like the FSSP, The Institute of Christ the King is also a priestly fraternity that conducts Mass in the Traditional Latin Rite. Check it out. Guest Aluigi
one may believe that the ritual of the Tridentine Mass is superior to the ritual of the Novus Ordo Mass. one may not believe either is inferior in the matter of the distribution of the Most Holy Eucharist. Like, I could say I think it is a superior ritual when the priest in confession not only absolves you, but gives you a lot of helpful advice in the confessional. I may not say his absolution is superior, just that the ritual stuff surrounding the sacrament is superior. likewise, I could say the Tridentine Mass is superior, but not that the consecration/Sacrament is superior. To an extent, I would agree the Tridentine Mass is somewhat superior. Both are valid and good, both have equal sacramental value, but I believe that the Mystery and the Sacrifice and even to an extent the celebration (something many might say is better in the Novus Ordo) is better presented through the rituals in the Tridentine Mass. the FSSP is awesome. They're overflowing, being flocked to. If there were more, I bet they'd be flocked to and overflowing as well. Regardless, Orthodox Seminaries are overflowing, and Heterodox Seminaries are on the decline. FSSP seminaries are all generally quite orthodox. Dave
Dave, nice to talk with you again. God bless. I am sad to say there were many errors in what you wrote, but I do not have the time right now to address them. I am going to go spend some time with my parents. I will hopefully address what you wrote soon. God bless.
Sorry, dude, but everything I've said was the truth. If I said anything wrong, prove it.
