However, I am becoming more and more convinced that the Church of Rome is not a church of Christ, but a synagogue of Satan, due to the damnable doctrines she preaches. Buzzard
I voted for this No - the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church consists of all those throughout the world that profess the true religion;and of their children: and is the kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ, the house and family of God, out of which there is no ordinary possibility of salvation. as in like this No - the one, holy, catholic, and apostolic Church consists of all those throughout the world that profess the true religion; and of their children: and is the kingdom of the Lord Jesus Christ, the house and family of God, out of which there is no ordinary possibility of salvation. Guest Aluigi
other churches do not contain the fullness of truth. so long as they are inculpable for the sin of seperation, which is probably a lot of modern day protestants, they are imperfectly united to the Catholic Church. however, their doctrines they proclaim that contradict Catholic Teaching are wrong and dangerous, and we should do all in our power to correct them. ironmonk
Justification by works, Divinization of Mary...need I go on?
Clatter. Clatter. Clatter. That's all you have. You are wrong. Are you lying to yourself just to be able to post foolishness here? Here is the Catechism: http://www.usccb.org/catechism/text/entiretoc1.htm Prove what you claim with links to it... Your attacks are weak. If you cannot prove it with links to the parts of the Catechism about the protestant lie "divinization of Mary", then you have nothing but the lie. Salvation and Justification are not the same thing. There are ample verses that Christ commands works.... only a fool would say works were not important. For many will cry "Lord Lord" and He will say "'Depart from me, you accursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels."... If you can be denied because of works, you better bet your life that you can be justified because of works. Christianity is not a buffet. Stop treating it like one. Now... find what you claim about hte protestant lie about Mary in the Catechism or go away.... Are you a man who loves Christ or a barking dog along our way? If you cannot find where the Catholic Church teaches that Mary is divine, don't try to change the subject. You started this, don't run. Find in the Catechism where Mary is divine.... or concede that you were wrong about the Church teaching that Mary is divine. You seem to make a lot of accusations and have yet to prove any of them. Time to back up what you claim. God Bless.

We venerate her but do not equate her with God. Please explain where you got this erroneous statement.
I have yet to hear any pope, bishop, priest, religious, or lay Catholic assert or even imply that Mary is divine. Could you elaborate? Regarding Justification by works... Quoting the Sixth Session of the Council of Trent:
CANON I.-If any one saith, that man may be justified before God by his own works, whether done through the teaching of human nature, or that of the law, without the grace of God through Jesus Christ; let him be anathema.
Need I go on?
