Brother Adam
Yes, but for different reasons. This young lad is clearly ignorant in his understanding of the relationship between Catholics and Fundamentalst Protestants. For the Catholic "Will you be eternally Saved?" would translate "Will you be eternally liberated from evil?" The appropriate answer for the Catholic would be, those who have been born again, and do not reject the grace of God, and believe in salvation by faith in Christ, dying in a state of grace, will be finally liberated from all evil being in the eternal presence of God". To approach a Catholic message board stating "Will you be eternally saved" as a Reformed Protestant, leaves me the impression this person isn't interested in learning about the Catholic faith and just wants to spread his own beliefs of such non-biblical concepts as "the sinners prayer" "alter-calls" and "accepting Jesus as your personal savior to be once and forever saved"

Brother Adam
Wouldn't it be nice to be able to let go of the bitterness you feel and come home to the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church?
Brother Adam
btw, crusaders help to educate non-Catholics who are already attacking the Catholic Church on other websites. We are not their to gain conversions of the already converted. Edited November 17, 2004 by Brother Adam

First the leaders of your church tried forcing people to convert, now you try reason. It's not working. Either kill us or accept us, otherwise don't bother. Brother Adam
I think your bringing over ill-sentiments from other conversations you've had that I don't have a clue about. There is no contradiction in either statement. The tenants of your faith would logically brand me a heretic as a Catholic. There is nothing insulting about the title, and no need to consider yourself insulted if someone calls you a heretic. It means, as far as that person is concerned you hold true to the formal definition of heresy in their religion. I'm a heretic to Fundamentalists, you would likely fall into heresy in the Catholic faith. At least 400 Fundamental pastors converted to Catholicism last year as well as countless laymen, myself included. Dozens of people on this website have converted from fundamentalism or are in the process of doing so. We see the truth and beauty of being a member of the family of God. Certian leaders in the past have tried to force conversions in the Catholic Church. Certian leaders in the past have tried to force conversions in the Protestant Church. What's your point? That we are sinners? Well, the Bible tell us that much. I accept you for who you are and have no intention of killing you, however you have come as a non-Catholic to a Catholic forum, if your going to type posts such as this, don't expect them to go unanswered. God Bless, Bro. Adam

[/quote] I'm sorry, but I already attempted to try at a former Catholics group at Yahoo!, and within one day of being a member, they banned me. It's strange, in their group description, they said that all opinions on the Catholic Church and Christianity in general were allowed. I guess the ones that they agreed with were. Maybe it was the truth that they couldn't handle, not to mention my utmost kindness and patience.
Quietfire
As a former Protestant I am now considered a heretic (as far as Protestants go) Dont bother me none. Edited November 17, 2004 by Quietfire
