Thy Geekdom Come
BUT YOU HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT YOURSELF FIRST... YOU DONT KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THAT LADY NO ONE IN THIS PHORUM DOSE... SO JUST LEAVE IT ALONE LET HER HAVE CHILDREN IN A IMMORAL HOME... IF THE C.P.S. SAYS ITS IMMORAL AND TAKES THE BABY THEN FINE ... BUT YOU CANT SO WORRY ABOUT YOURSELF
We must remove the planks from our own eyes first, yes, if that is what you mean, but you can't assume that none of us are in that position and you can't tell us to worry about ourselves alone. It is our job to care for morality wherever possible. Also, the state is not the arbiter of morality...history has proven that repeatedly.

Lil Red
that's like saying: there's all these abortions...we can't do anything...don't worry about...don't care about the problems there's all the human rights violations all over the world...we can't do anything...don't worry about...don't care about the problems there will always be the poor...but we can't do anything...don't worry about...don't care about the problem it's a pessimistic and defeatist attitude and while i'm a pessimist, i don't quite go that far. btw, this is my 9400th post! woohoo! StColette
Okay let me see how I can put this. John you seem to not understand why we worry about other people. For example, I worry about every single soldier that is over in Iraq at the moment, I pray for them and care for them. I don't know every single one of them but I worry for them just the same, because they are each a child of God and they are each my brother or sister in Christ, thus we are family connected through a bond with Christ. I don't know every single Phatmasser as well as I know others, I don't know any of them in person, but I still worry for them and pray for them because again they are family through Christ. I worry about this woman and her children as well the same as I would worry for anyone. I pray for their faith, their health, their safety. I worry about those who have abortions, because their pain is greater than you can imagine, I worry about those who live immorally because it's not a happy situation to be in. Worrying about others isn't an act of trying to butt in to other people's lives it is simply showing concern for them.
