Sojourner
Here's a link to an op-ed piece in one of our local publications I think this is an interesting question. In every full-time professional job I've worked, insurance is a standard benefit. I've had to pay varying amounts of monthly premiums, and truthfully I've never complained about it. I know it's a valuable benefit, and I know I'm not prepared to take on the risk of NOT having insurance. But this article brings up an interesting set of questions. What obligation does an employer have to see to the health and well-being of his or her employees? Should the bottom line be a business end-all focus? Do "only the best deserve rewards"? Discuss amongst yourselves.
