Greeting from Baghdad

Greeting fellow phatmassers,

It's been awhile since I have posted in the phorum, and some of you may not know me or remember me.

Anyway, greetings. I'm in Baghdad now, living it up on Camp Liberty. The journey here was blessedly uneventful and the mortar attacks have been few and far between. With the Coalition offensive in Fallujah the insurgents appear to have their hands full.

It's fascinating being in the cradle of civilization. It's too bad that it had to be during such a violent time in the regions history. It's a pity that some of the most historic and beautiful places on earth also happen to be the most contested.

I ran into my Chaplain's Assistant this morning and was informed that wednesday's we will begin the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. Great news. Y'all will be glad to know that our Catholic Chaplain is big on Apologetics and teaching those of us in the Church the true meaning of our faith and beliefs. It is refreshing to be with people who care about the Church and the people in it.

If y'all don't hear from me for a time, God be with you.

Red

Hi! Thanks for stopping in. How wonderful to have food for the soul while you're over there!

And yes, you and the rest of the good folk over there should stop in when you can.

You are in our hearts and prayers!

Red,

May our Blessed Mother, all the Holy Angels, and the souls of the 40 million babies who have been lost to us due to abortion hold you up in prayer to Jesus Christ our Lord. May they protect you, your fellow military servicemen, your chaplain, and your family from all spiritual & temporal harm.

Come home soon.

Jesus, I trust in You!!1

I don't remember you unfortunately, however I greatly appreciate what you're doing for our country. What branch are you in? Marines? Army?

God Bless and Pax Christi!
