Thy Geekdom Come
I don't think I would go to a Protestant lecture on sexuality.
rachael
i would, just to see what they're views are on the subject
Carnanc
i'm uncertain, but I agree it could be of some value to understand their views or if this is for a class.
Balthazor
You seem like a rational person and one of deep and committed faith. In this light, I do not think that it would harm your faith any to go. I must warn you that this speaker is in favor of opening marriage up to same sex couples. Which I really don't personally agree with, but it would probable be an interesting lecture.
Piccoli Fiori JMJ
I don't have to go to it for any class... I'm not sure what I'll do... I think I may go, just to check things out... but if I am busy then, no big loss...

Dave
Since the speaker is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church USA, that right there gives me cause to worry. That particular branch of the Presbyterian Church is VERY liberal. I should know; before I was Catholic I was a member of that church. Proceed with caution. God Conquers
I would go.... then I'd bust out some big time questions if there's a question period. Rep the Pope.

qfnol31
How certain are you on Catholicism? If you're not too sure what the Church teaches, I may abstain...but then again, I disagree with a lot of Protestant teaching on sexuality. Piccoli Fiori JMJ
I follow Church teachings faithfully, although I may not completely understand them... hmmm... To go, or not to go... that is the question... Is it better to suffer... uh-oh... Hamlet is stuck in my head... sorry...
Scofizzle
well if you want to be indoctrinated with protestant theology...then go for it
qfnol31
My guess is that it's either too set on rules or on the person without a good mixture, and not so much on us participating in God's plan for us.....So, I would say maybe not.
