Piccoli Fiori JMJ
My mom asked my yesterday what I want for Christmas... I haven't any clue... I can always ask for a printer for here at school... But I don't need it... I can ask for some Finicial backing so I can go to World Youth Day to see the Holy Father... hmm... any suggestions? I really don't want anything... She buys me too much stuff for the budget we have to work with... I need to get her a good Christmas present... But what should I tell her about the whole "present" issue... ? Thanks all God Bless and Mary Protect, Angela

homeschoolmom
I always hate it when my mom asks me this... When I tell her the truth (gee, we could really use a new ____ for homeschooling....) Her reply is, "Oh, I'm not getting you that!" So, I can pretty much tell her one of two things: Clothes (which I absolutely don't need and have no room for) Kitchen gadget (and I hate cooking...) I'm willing to make it easy (please, mom a gift certificate would be great-- Barnes and Noble etc...) Nope, that's not a gift... And yet she hates shopping... She has gotten better about the kids, though. She gives me the money and I can do the shopping... (they'd rather have a membership at the science museum than a new toy anyway... )

franciscanheart
I'd totally ask for $$ for WYD. Just ask for that and for like.... a new book or something. The $$ will help so much though!! I hate when people ask what you want and then tell you that what you want isnt good enough or that you don't really want it..... What do you want for your birthday/Christmas? a Bible. You dont need that. Oh okay

Birgitta Noel
LOL, and I thought I was the only one with this problem I told my Dad this year to please tell my Mom, NO MORE DECORATIVE PILLOWS! They're cute, but I really don't need any more  Though I do appreciate the thought! Perhaps your Mom has some frequent flyer miles she could give you for a ticket? shelly_freak
I have the same problem. My mom always buys me tons of stuff I don't need and it's like well why didn't I get this or this? I would be perfictly happy if she just bought a few gift cards for diff stores.
