A Catholic neighborhood

Okiedokie, I have an interesting plan (more like an idea) of a Catholic neighborhood. I don't want to alienate those of other faiths or anything, just thought this would be a cool idea. When I originally thought of this, I was expecting to make a long, elaborate post describing the idea. However, since I'm not in that mood :(, I'll make it in a list form. If you have any questions, comments, or realistic suggestions, let me know.

First: I purchase 50 acres of land (or more).

Second: I then lay out a grid and build private streets and homes on my land.

Third "A": Sell the properties to those I know who are devout Catholics (like Phatmassers).

Third "B": Or have residents pay rent, and I keep the homes and lots (though they will have a ton of flexibility to renovate their homes, land, etc). Sort of like living in a very nice apartment where you can change almost anything.

(If Third "A" is chosen) Fourth: All the residents will have to sign some sort of agreement that will obligate them to either sell/donate/give their home to their children (or relatives), or to me (or my family). This will be useful if let's say a resident were to move out or die, and another Catholic resident can hopefully move in. Thus perserving the neighborhood with Catholics.

What do you think? Still haven't figured out a name yet. This would be an interesting idea also for a general Christian neighborhood, but there will probally be more conflicts with the different theological beliefs.

Third B would be more of a hassel for residents (the rent), but it'll help guarantee that the neighberhood will remain a Catholic one. Because if it were to remain a private residence (me owning the land), no one can sue me on the grounds of public discrimination. But if it were a public property, then all we need is a court case on discrimination because a family of Hindus wanted to move in.

PS: Think of the neighborhood outdoor parties, a feast day everyday! :rolling:

I'll have to take a look at it later, lot of stuff to read. Though one quick question: How would they be able to pull it off, without being sued for discrimination? For example, what if a Hindu family wanted to move in? Only way that I know it can work, is if the land was privately owned.

Or, you could just find a neighborhood like the one I just tried to buy a house in, where it surrounds a Catholic church, and about 95% of the people in the neighborhood are Catholic.

But yeah. Totally Catholic neighborhood would be tight. In fact, an entire Catholic city would be dope, surrounded by a huge wall, with Eucharistic processions through downtown every day.

That would be soooooo dope.

If God ever lets me win the Lottery I will purchase tons of acres in Colorado or something and build a city. It will be called Sacramentum, Colorado and be all Catholic

that would be tight

I was thinking more of rural Pennsylvania (around the central area of the state). PA is awesome, it has a large metropolitan area (Philadelphia) in the south-eastern/eastern area. Not to mention Pittsburgh to the west (though not as large).
