CatholicAndFanatical
Well, mulls may not be anti-catholic persay, but MC Just didnt say all non-Catholics should leave, he said all ANTI-Catholics should leave. There obviously here for a reason and its not to be educated on the Catholic faith, its to bash. We post facts after facts and they never answer them. All they do square dance their way around the facts we present. I for one dont want anyone to leave, I enjoy the Anti-Catholic posts, it makes me laugh, and the more I laugh the less likely I would be to go postal :D so keep smiling..or else um..just kidding..hehe.. VeraMaria
I hope they pray for us too. We have a bigger problem with our MEDIA than they do. Also, Fr. Groeschel tells a story of being in an airport and this little Jewish lady coming up to him and saying "Father, I think it's horrible what they're doing to your church. You know, if it continues, we'll be next." Gooooooo Judaism! Yay! You know, almost all Jewish people I know get along with Catholics SO great.....really. They never make fun of what we believe in, are very warm and accepting, and when we discuss our faith, it's rather SHARING than I'm-right-and-you-are-wrong Debating. Just thought I'd share this observation :D .
VeraMaria
O.K., people, can't we have ONE CIVILIZED THREAD!!! I know it's very hard when people have different opinions and faiths, but instead of posting hateful comments on both sides, just grab something, bite down your anger on it, yell, take a deep breath, and give a charitable answer. Please! Now I'm not trying to sound preachy here, I'm not any better than any of you, but still, it would be pretty cool if we could TRY.... INRIWarrior3
It depends if your a diocesan priest or a religious preist, i.e., if you belong to a religious order like the Basilians, Jesuits, etc who are focused on education at the undergrad, grad, doctoral level. Those kinds of preists do have to take a vow of poverty while those diocesan priests who do not belong to an order do not for obvious reasons, they're pastors, associate pastors etc., they need to take care of themselves and some live alone. Hope this helps, God bless. INRIWarrior3 Edited October 8, 2003 by INRIWarrior3
Aloysius
The Catholic Church and protestant churches have planks and splinters in our eyes. the only difference is that Jesus makes sure our planks and splinters don't get in the way of the doctrine of the Catholic Church so that it can stand as a pillar and fire of Truth in the world, shining the light of Christ into the darkness while always working to pull out it's own splinters and planks and all the garbage that gets into the eyes of its members. Pray for the Protestant churches, that they will deal with problems with their preachers, whether it be 10 % or not im sure there's at least one and one is too many, and pray for The Catholic Church that it will continue to shine the full Truth to all as it joins with the Protestant churches to help the poor and the suffering and the neglected and the victems of Priest/Minister abuses. pray that we all have Charity, and i don't want Steve to leave, I just want God to convert his heart. <i know i seem to be makin this into a prayer thread on the debate table, that's just cause it NEEDS prayer desperately, the topic is dispicable as it's one of the biggest victories of the devil, leading priests and ministers astray

Vera Maria Girl, I think I'm going to get you your own velvet hammer. Or maybe just a regular one. Just remember, the role of peacemaker is often despised. Anyway, keep up the good work girly. I, for one, am glad to see you posting like this. And, don't get upset when they don't listen. They don't listen to me either. :P
PedroX
I listen, Azriel!! Please, Please don't hit me with any kind of hammer, velvet or otherwise. I promise to do better (though I think I've been good lately!) (huddling pathetically in the corner, hoping Azriel just takes the hammer away) peace...
