qfnol31
"Y'all" is like people trying to reinterpret documents and then saying all those who don't follow are ignorant. Edited November 7, 2004 by qfnol31
qfnol31
I have never used the incorrect term "ain't" in place of "isn't."* I think I spell quite well, if I do say so myself. *that I care to speak of at present.
You just said ain't. Doesn't matter how, but you did. Therefore you've now gone against the so-called rules of language you follow. Theoketos
One: if you do a google search you will find 1.4 million cases of y'all, while only 369000 of "ya'll" Two: in Old english y'all is used as second person plural.
thicke
No, I speak correctly. I use the word "isn't."
"Isn't".......Following the false rules someone put forth here about contractions and why "ya'll" sould be "y'all", then shouldn't "isn't" be "is'nt"? qfnol31
Evidence also shows "my bad" means nothing and "ya" isn't use. This isn't the case.
Google does not equal knowledge. Also, the smaller number is closer to correct, for how many people in the world have the fullness of Truth? I think it's about 1/6. qfnol31
Well, I've had my fun for one day. When I die at least I'll know I'm among the minority who can spell one word correctly.
