Colleen
After months of deliberation and argument back and forth, I have decided to concede. This concession is most reluctant and unfortunate, and I do not wish to make it, but I feel that I must. I, Colleen, hereby do acknowledge that Zach and Jennie (qfnol31 and StColette) . . . . . . were right all along. -_- It's not y'all. It's ya'll. There, I said it. qfnol31
Colleen finally admitted that "ya'll" is spelled "ya'll" and not "y'all." In otherwords, she finally learned how to spell ya'll. Edited November 7, 2004 by qfnol31

qfnol31
Dude, you're from here. You know how it's spelled, and ya got it all wrong right now. It's like trying to say there's a specific place that ain't came from. You can look, but you ain't gonna find it. It is ya and all, which makes a lot of since, for we say ya in passing speech quite often and the a and au sound very similar, so like what happens in Spanish occurs here. That means that the sounds mesh together.

qfnol31
If you're gonna talk like a Southerner, spell like it. You can't have Northerners changing words we created!
