CatherineM
I can say the rosary in Gaelic. My day said it that way. My oldest tried to learn Klingon. He had these language tapes. I think I dropped him on his head a few too many times.
jiyoung
Korean was my first language, and then English--but my English is better than my Korean now, poo. I've been learning Spanish for a long time, too, but I would fail miserably at trying to actually hold a real conversation in it. I understand itty bitty snippets of Latin just from sacred music and Latin Mass, as well. Starting in the fall when I'm studying music, I'll be learning either French, German, or Italian--and I think I'd like to do all three, but at school probably French because I would have most trouble with it. Upcoming fall will mark the begining to my third year. Yea. WE so rock. With all the gorgous きもの Am I alone?? I hope not. [/quote] YES!! I tried to learn a bit of Japanese in my spare time, but I don't know nearly enough vocabulary to have a conversation. And my Japanese handwriting is even worse than my English handwriting. inunionwithrome
I know just a little bit of Latin. The Our Father and Hail Mary when they are in front of me. And have memorized the Tantum Ergo and Salutaris Hostia. They would not let me take a foreign language in high school because of my LD but those are some students who pick up the foreign languages fastest because of their interest. Donut heads! Hehe! I would love to learn more Latin especially if the church the whole church goes back to Tridentine masses which they might have to not too long from now.
