Next Senate Minority Leader

Aight guys, we all know that it was big that Bush won yesterday . . . but do you realize how important it could be that Daschle lost?!?

Tom Daschle was the Democrat's leader in the senate, and he stood for all the carp that the Dems stand for--abortion rights, gay rights . . . and well, that's really all the Dems stand for consistently.

He got voted out of office . . . so who takes his place? Probably the Minority Whip: Harry Reid. This prolly doesn't mean much to you, but this will:
Reid opposes abortion rights and over the years, it has often been speculated that that position would prevent him from being Senate Democratic leader.

This could be an incredibly awesome opportunity for Bush to nominate some excellent judges! The only threat is the dreaded name of Clinton. She may try to take the position for herself.

Keep praying guys! There's another election coming up that matters a lot!

Peace,
Joe :)

I fully hope that Hillary takes control of the Dem minority. We need a strong leader who still has her head on earth.

It's funny how conservatives only see "abortion" and "gay rights" when they see the word Democrat.

Sad because it was the democratic party that molded this country. Sad because it was the Democratic party that has always stood for the protection of those that aren't rich and those that have no say in what goes on in this Government. The Republicans have long changed since their first "good years" in which they were almost a mirror of the Democratic party.

Most Republicans of today are born-again Christians and neoconservatives who believe that imposing their believes on others only helps this planet and God is happy. Well I could care less if God is happy. And so do many others. Most focus on minor issues such as abortion because they feel that they can make another person do their will against their own personal decision.

Let me ask you something, how does it affect you, your life or your morals when a woman decides not to have a baby? Why does it affect you?

But don't we lose when those babies end up on welfare, adoption or federal care?

And I don't know about you, but Republicans hate those things.

The way I see it they would love to see woman having babies against their wishes but don't want to pay to support them.

if she doesn't have that baby...

that soul will have no chance to go to Heaven. we all are striving to get each other there, so i'd really like to help those babies' souls as well.

and it might sound old...

but an aborted baby... could've had a chance to run for President in 40 years, you know?

And if the woman isn't Christian or doesn't perticularly care about going to heaven?

Let me guess,

"The woman is forever lost in a path of sin wich would only lead to her self destruction and a straight path to hell!"

Kind of hard to believe it since maybe she doesn't believe it.

I've met plenty of conservatives that aren't Christian and are "conservative" when it comes to money. In fact many conservatives feel that way.

Krush and one of his friends are that way. They consider Democrats thieves and they believe that Democrats are helping the "lazy"

Well maybe the "lazy" is a mother who decided she was going to have a baby?

why are you so angry? if your world view is correct, there's no reason to be angry unless it actually physically influences you.

I think that is a slight bit of a generalization.

Most GOPhers want to end abortion and get all Anti welfare in the speechs. They really can't get rid of it and can't reduce it too much, they would be filabustered to no end.

And there are Dems that are pro life, just as there are GOPhers who support welfare.
