Foolish

So my MOL (mother outlaw) says to me "The only reason why I voted for Bush was because I liked his wife better"

Does anyone have any idea how hard it was to bite my tongue?

She is the type of person that should not be allowed to vote. There should be a test that people have to take to protect us from foolish people like that.

At least it was for Bush, because if she would have voted kerry, out the door she would go...

I can't trust her judgement on anything.

I have to find daycare.... ugh.

What's wrong with that? I think it shows a lot about the candidate when you look at the type of person they chose to marry. It's probably the best way to get past all the political rhetoric and to judge the candidate on how they truly live their life and make their decisions. Don't underestimate the role that the spouse plays in decision making.

Your mother-in-law seems like a smart lady.

I  dUST !!!

One must keep in mind that God granted us free will before the Constitution granted us the vote. In both we are trusted to make the right decision according to what our concience tells us.

I thought George made an excellent choice in a wife, and she in turn made an pretty ok decision in saying yes. (tee-hee)

at least she didn't vote for Kerry because of a high opinion of Mrs. Heinz Kerry... That would have been weird for a bunch of reasons....

No you can't...

My MOL also hooks up with people that she meets in a MIRC channel 40Plusandsexytoo.... she left my FIL for a joker online... who then dumped her.

There is much more to this story which shouldn't be posted here... put it this way, I had to do the nanny cam thing and saw things that no man should see. I've got an http://www.ww.com account so I could do a free nanny cam.

She came her to watch my daughter while the wife's at work, in return she gets free room and board... She's not doing her job... She's been spending all her time online and neglecting my daughter. I had to say something, had her limit herself to 90 mins a day when she should be watching Olivia.

My MOL is a total flake.

I don't care for Bush's wife, but I agree with Max. Deciding for whom to vote based on whom they marry is just nuts. It may influnce it, like dUSt said, but to be the full guide...

Put it this way...

She had some nut pick her up at my house, that she just met in that chat room... there was no chit chat between them... straight up disordered talk.... btw, my network - I know everything going on, in full detail.... but no one knows I know... cept you guys and a few close friends.

Hence, why I now have a digital key safe with a Glock 9mm and a S&W 9mm in it. Amy has to hit five keys to open it, insert the clip, and whoever breaks through the door will not be able to harm my wife or child. I prayed alot on it, I thought I'd never buy a gun... but felt an overwhelming need.

Six people in Lakeland got Jeffrey Dahmered over an XBox... she knew nothing about the guy... not even his name until after he had the directions to my house...

I'm doing everything in my power not to blow up at her.

I can be home in five minutes... I have two monitors now at my desk, one always has the nanny cam up.... http://ironmonk.ww.com for anyone who wants to peak in. It's normally running from 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM... sometimes longer.

Ironmonk,

If this thread is to prove that your mother-in-law is a fool, then just say that. I don't think it's very appropriate to be bashing her on a message board though.

I was only addressing the point about basing judgement on the candidate's wife.

The point was that this was one of the various reasons to base a judgement on a president is foolish... such as picking someone because they look better...

I disagree with your analysis that it's a good way to choose, and you called her a smart woman... therefore I saw a need for correction, without the giving the reasons, you would not know why I stood my my stance that it was a foolish reason.

It's not like she's done a study on either lady... she hasn't been following any of this much at all.

This was also to "vent".
