Doctrine vs. Discipline

Our Faith is set up in two distinct sectors: Discipline and Doctrine.

*Under the discipline is included customs, etc. To this we are to be obedient, but at the same time there is flexibility. This is where the outline of the Mass falls, however, the ideas and doctrine of the Mass are just that, Doctrine. This is why it is acceptable for the Mass to change. These are not Traditions, but traditions.

*The Doctrine is set up into two quadrants, one of with is Dogma.[list]
[*]For the Doctrine that is not Dogma, we, as Catholics, owe an ascent of mind [i]and[/i] will.
[*]Dogma we must believe, this is that which is infallible and pertains to faith and morals.
[/list]-Dogma is set up into two groups, infallibly [i]defined[/i], and infallibly [i]taught[/i].[list]
[*]Infallibly [i]taught[/i] is something that isn't necessarily defined, as in the case of abortion where it's infallibly taught that it's wrong, but it is taught infallibly, so it is without error.
[*]Infallibly [i]defined[/i] is something that is not only taught infallibly, but also comes with a definition why it is so. It tells us the why, not just the what.
[/list]+Next comes Ordinary vs. Extraordinary Dogma:[list]
[*]The infallibly taught is often from the Ordinary Universal Episcopal Magisterium. It must be Ordinary (usually has to do with Natural Law), Universal (not decided just on numbers), held definitively, and must be faith and morals. If all these are kept, then it is probably infallibly taught.
[*]Infallibly defined comes from two sources: 1) Papal Magisterium, 2) Ecumenical Magisterium.

[*]The Papal Magisterium are found in those statements which are [i]Ex Cathedra[/i]. This has only happened twice, and probably won't happen again for a while.
[*]The Ecumenical Magisterium includes the councils which define something infallibly. An example of the is the Second Vatican Council which added a new definition for already infallibly taught items, or Trent, etc. Most councils are just reiterations and new definitions for what is already taught infallibly.

How exactly is something defined Extraordinarily?

I believe that's Ex-Cathedra or a Council.
