Someone who has the guts to stand up for what's right despite opposition, who can lead, who has moral character, and who follows the Constitution of the U.S. (guess that last one would eliminate both Bush and Kerry)

How Bush against the Constitution?

She means specifically the common politician line, "I'm personally opposed to abortion, but [I won't do anything to limit or oppose abortion]"

Bush is too big-government - the power of gov't, and amountof gov't spending/jobs increased under Bush. began Iraq war without full backing of Congress.

Actually, the U.S. Federal gov't has usurped too much power ever since Lincoln, and things have gotten especially bad after FDR - so this isn't to single Bush out - it's just that he's been part of the problem rather than the solution. Bush listens to the Neo-cons in the Rep. party too much.
(I have a Constitutionalist philosophy)

I still think he's a better man than Kerry and I'm voting for him tomorrow.
How many presidents do you know were like that?
If you're referring to personally opposed,

Bill Clinton, though I'm not even sure he said he was "personally opposed" - he said he wanted to make abortion in America "safe legal and rare" - classic Clinton double-speak!

"personally opposed" I know is used a lot by "Catholic" politicians, like Kerry, Ted Kennedy, Cuomo, etc.

Its not just abortion. Its gay marriage, illicit stem cell research, cloning and things like that.

They say they are personally opposed, but won't push their beliefs on anyone. Come on!! Your beliefs should define who you are.

Though I agree with most of what you said, he could actually go into Iraq without Congress backing him at first, which they eventually did. :)

I voted for him last Friday at 5:00 pm CDT.

"I'm opposed to abortion and to government funding of abortions." - Governor Bill Clinton, September 26, 1986 letter to Arkansas Right To Life

That's just plain 'ol classic flip-flopping.

I'm personally opposed to voting for Bush, but Kerry's example gives me strength to support something I don't believe in, so I'm voting for Bush.
