Oh man my back hurts just thinking about how I'm supposed to have full intercourse, hanging from a chandalier, while holding my wife up at the same time. Man I need a beer...
Thy Geekdom Come
I'd like some explicit evidence to support the claim that the post-coital masturbation by women is sanctioned by the Vatican. Without it we are walking a fine line and possibly leading women into grave sin not to mention promoting error.
Don't ask me.

I was shown an article in the NFP phorum that addressed this and it even quoted the pope and Christopher West...

In the middle ages there was a lingering superstition that conception could only happen if both persons experienced an orgasm, hence the idea that there will be something wrong with the kid if the woman doesn't get off. The Church upheld that belief for a long time, I believe. That might have something to do with post-coital masturbation.

DancesforLove

Thats an...interesting article lol.

I have a pickle for ya, it's something I tried to understand but never could.

Ok, the Chruch says that using forms of contraceptives is a sin and that having pre-marital sex is a sin.

So here is the confusing part. For guys being abstinent before marriage wouldn't matter but for girls it kinda does.
Girls produce one egg every month and at a certain point in there life they stop producing eggs alltogether and can no longer have children.
Guys are not suppossed to um.....have other forms of sex (ya'll know what I mean) because it wastes sperm.
If you go by that, wouldn't being abstinent for a girl be a sin because every month you do not have sex thats one less chance for a baby to form?

Just something I thought of and wondered what part I'm missing that explains it. (FYI I am NOT using that as any type of excuse lol, it was just a thought I had that made me wonder)

First, sins require intent. Natural occurances and cycles are not sinful. Second, men also have involuntary sexual occurances, namely so-called wet dreams, so this question really does impact both genders. To elaborate, men have these as frequently, if not more frequently, than women menstrate, so the impact of it goes just as deep on the moral matter.

I'm continuing this thread in the NFP phorum because I had some explicit questions. Hope you all will join me there.

The "masturbation" mentioned in the original post may simply refer to the already accepted and licit manual stimulation of the wife by the husband to bring her to climax. But, I have also read on another forum (Q&A with priests) that in the context of completed, vaginal intercourse, the wife may licitly assist herself in reaching climax.
