that is a very cool site
i've had their "electoral counter" running on my blog for a few weeks now and it's been interesting watching the numbers roll back and forth - from a Bush win to a Kerry win and back to a Bush win...
oh those crazy swing states

I've been following that site since August. It is important to note that on electoral-vote the "barely" states are in effect toss-ups. The way that these states shift back and forth can get confusing, so I cross-check it (not in the hockey sense) with http://www.realclearpolitics.com. Case in point: when Hawaii showed as switching from Kerry to Bush - which is monumental, I confirmed it with realclearpolitics.

Oh, and the "averaged polls" link: http://www.electoral-vote.com/fin/oct31z.html

I'm sorry, but I have a hard time with predicting Indiana as a tie....

I do know this. Unless one side wins convincingly, there is going to be a mess, considering all the hype regarding registartion problems and voting machine problems, and the early voting and potential delays of absentee ballots from the overseas military. I know one of the fears is that voters from Illinois (considered to be safe for Kerry) will cross over to Wisconsin (toss-up) to register to vote.
He thinks the undecideds will break 2 to 1 for Kerry.. hmm I wonder what his logic is behind that
The reason he thinks that the undecided will go Kerry is history. When someone remains undecided this late they are more likly to go the the challenger than the guy in office. This has been shown over the past many elections. One reason this might be is that they know about the incumbant but know less about the challenger. They dislike the incumbant, thus aren't in his coloumn, but don't yet know enough to fully support the other guy.

Go Green Bay!

I am sure they think the undecideds can relate to Kerry's positions....

I hope the real numbers won't turn out the way that site has them right now. Otherwise, we might as well get the handbasket ready and stick the country in it.

Huh, New Jersey is exactly tied?!

While Florida is "weak Kerry?"

Jersey on the right of Florida? I don't think so. I'm still looking at realclearpolitics.com
