Bush 280 Kerry 243

This is exciting. I think I'm gonna have a rally at my house where we just watch the news as they attempt to cover the election!

it shows Bush ahead in the electoral college. of course kerry might win, that's always a possibility. but so far the electorate seems headed for bush. a lot can happen in the blitkreiging of the last couple days

it's funny, republicans tend to get sooo many states but all the states they get are ones with small amounts of electoral votes. democrats get the few with like, the most electoral votes.
<warning: stereotypical generations upcoming:>
perhaps when people are squeezed tighter together into a smaller area, they're more inclined to look for governmental dependency than the rugged independent people in the wild west who roam free and farm for a living. they want the government to just stay out of their business. just a theory, and a wacky crazy theory at that!

By the way, that website is ran by a Kerry supporter. So, that's not bad to see these results. Not bad at all! ^_^

He thinks the undecideds will break 2 to 1 for Kerry.. hmm I wonder what his logic is behind that

It's "partisan" logic. :D

I think this being the first election since September 11th will call for all conventional election wisdom to be thrown out the window. :wacko:

Both my home state (NJ) and the state where I go to school (PA) are both swing states. So excited to see what happens. They usually tend to go democrat, but maybe this year they'll go repbulican!!!

MN is a swing state, too... which, for me is very exciting. The Star-Tribune's (Mpls. "news"paper) most recent poll had the state at K-49%, B-41%... but the way that poll is so biased, Bush actually could have a shot here.

The real predictor is sales of Halloween masks.... W's are sold out completely... And if you figure a lot of people have masks from 2000... :whistle:
It was bound to happen and it happened. Today we have more state polls than there are states. There are 54 new polls in 22 states today. Furthermore, the lead has changed in five states, and all five changes favor Kerry. As a result, Kerry has now passed Bush in the electoral college. If today's results are the final results Wednesday morning, John Kerry will be elected as the 44th President of the United States, with 283 votes in the electoral college to George Bush's 246. But don't count on it. Many of Kerry's leads are razor thin. Counting only the strong + weak states, Bush leads 229 to 196, with 113 electoral votes in the tossup category Kerry's leads in the tossup states mean little to nothing. The turnout Tuesday will determine who wins.
