uriel
I don't cry in the confessional I don't know why, though I am sorry for my sins, and full of joy when I leave the confessional. Something wrong with me? Usually the only time my eyes glaze and sometimes almost tear, is when the priest is giving the absolution.
Crying isn't a necessary part of confession. Some people are less prone to crying. I don't think I have cried in the last 10 years. I have been seriously injured (I had my eye ripped open in an accident), but I hate crying so much and the things I mentally associate with it that I am able to not cry. I think in me its a sign of a general emotional aloofness, which I recognize as bad, but not crying in a situation that other find emotional isn't by itself an indication of anything. Some people are emotionally affected different ways by different experiences, and everyone shows thier emotions in different ways to different degrees. theculturewarrior
I haven't cried. I'm not a cryer. I do pray often that God increase my sorrow for my sins.
