Brother Adam
Have you ever broken down crying in confession. I did today. I started confessing my sins and started crying I almost couldn't stop. I barely made it through the act of contrition. Fr seemed moved by it too. It's been the most moving experience I've had in confession. I really felt a sense of healing like I hadn't felt before. Thy Geekdom Come
You're already home. Welcome into the family room, out of the front hall.
StColette
Yep Bro Adam, every confession it seems I just break down into tears. A number of priests have told me that's generally a sin of true sorrow for one's sins. And after confession is over and the last little tears fall, everything just feels so much better. Brother Adam
Amen to that. Everything does feel so much better. I'm so glad to be home. 15 years was too much wandering.

marielapin
I cry every time, usually while saying my act of contrition or receiving absolution. Then I go kneel in front of the Blessed Sacrament and say my penance, feeling eveloped by Gods love. Confession is so very powerful.
Mickey's_Girl
I'm looking forward to confession (currently in RCIA), but at the same time, I'm not looking forward. Not like my priest hasn't heard it ALL (he's 50ish, after all) but never having done it before, I think I will be ashamed. Too many sins to count! Ah well. marielapin
I had my first confession with a priest I absolutely adored and admired, and here I had to go over all the shameful things I did for the first 21 years of my life. Wow talk about humility. But the spiritual high you get afterwards and the cleanness of your soul are absolutely amazing. The only thing close to it is experiencing the Real Presence of the Eucharist.
Fiat_Voluntas_Tua
My first confession was amazing! I remember when the Priest and Christ absolved me from my sins I got extremely cold, my body was freezing...I got shivers up and down my body...then when I made the sign of the Cross at the end, I was actually very warm. I love the Holy Spirit! Totus tuus, Andy
PedroX
I cry often at mass, but not in the confessional. Once or twice after confession--tears of joy and amazement. peace...
Balthazor
I have also wept during confession, and usually if I don't cry during confession I have cryed many nights before hand, and repented immediatly after the sin was committed or whenever the realization of sin hits me... shelly_freak
I've had some amazing experiences with confession. Usually I burst into tears and the priest hands me tissues and I have to stop for a sec. For me it seems that I'm so ashamed of my sins that the tears just flow. Edited to say: it's really a humbling experience Edited November 10, 2004 by shelly_freak
