[jas]
Hey everyone I just wanted to briefly apologise for any of my posts in the past few days that may have offended anyone. I was praying last night and God really convicted me that I haven't been posting here with my original intention of learning more about what you believe and sharing my beliefs, but that I've been out to win an argument. Which is not the right attitude. So please accept my apologies for that, and if you see me slipping back into argumentative mode, please drop me a PM or something and let me know (sometimes I don't even notice myself doing it) Thanks everyone [jas]
cmotherofpirl
WE all do this from time to time despite our best intentions. The word "convicted" sort of confuses me, its not a term we use in that context. I keep thinking you are in a jail somewhere. :(

Dave
Oh, [jas], you know we forgive you! :D And I'm sorry for any times I acted that way too. C'm'ere, you . . . (((((HUGS))))
jasJis
[jas], That's fantastic. I know what "convicted" means. A Catholic would say that grace has helped you examine your conscience, realize a sin and that you have repented in your heart, confessed in your heart, and God has forgiven you. We could also get more technical. Convicted is much easier. And Catholics complain about Protestants questioning them using the word "Purgagorty". I'm glad you're still here. I will specifically pray that God will "convict" some Catholics here that I think are more interested in winning arguements instead of sharing Truth. A truthful Catholic must admit what Truths are also in Protestant Faith, because they are shared in the Catholic Faith. It's about building and growing, not just winning arguements. jasJis. notbilln
No, problem. I've behaved myself here so far, but sometimes I can get hostile,or demieaning in my wording. So please If I do slip up in the future, keep in mind that I am in a own words a moronic sinner/ monkey pig.

ironmonk
Jas, That's great.... I wish others on the board would be as open to learning what the Church truely teaches and why, instead of listening to the anti-Catholics and argueing interpretation. I'm glad you have felt inspired to stay on the board. I pray that you find the answers you seek. And I pray that some Catholics here would be on fire for the truth so that they can answer your questions with what our Church teaches us correctly. God Bless, Your Servant in Christ, ironmonk
Aloysius
i like 'convicted' instead of 'told me' would u use them in the same type of context? like instead of saying "God told me to stop postin on PhatMass for a while" u said "God convicted me to stop postin on PhatMass for a while" (someone said that with the told once, i 4get who but he was prolly u.) maybe i don't exactly know what 'convicted' means, but if that's a good way to use it, i prefer it to the 'told' cause it's more like you were prayin and God really lead your prayers to make u realize what u should be doin instead of a voice from the clouds or a voice in ur head (i've had voices in my head that told me things that don't make sense b4, i dont trust the voices in my head (AHH i sound crazy) cause they're usually just my imagination) anyway, yeah i just directed this more into the debate table thing about God telling ppl stuff, srry. GREAT HUMILITY! GREAT APOLOGY! if only all men were so holy that they could just apologize when they had wronged someone.
