Paladin D
Is Cradle Catholic a bad thing? Or does it mean "One who is brought up in the faith"?
Dave
You know, seeing the Catholic and Prot posts...and having been originally brought up Catholic...being here has only confirmed and increased my prot beliefs Why? Why are you so sure the Catholic Church is wrong despite the mountains of evidence to the contrary that we've put forth?
Dave
Is Cradle Catholic a bad thing? Or does it mean "One who is brought up in the faith"? Cradle Catholic refers to a person brought up in the faith. Nothing bad about it at all.

Have I STATED the Catholic church is wrong? NO! I've stated I cannot accept the teachings...God gave me free will and I have chosen the prot way. ReformationNow
Ok, I've only been here a week. So maybe I haven't seen the "darkside" of phatmass yet. The closets I've seen to a personal attack was .. ScubaSteve's reply to dave in "Does God Speak to you". But he's not catholic. ANd instead of directly attacking Steve, Dave responed, along with dUst in a very mature manner. I've been around the internet block a few times( since 89) there is something about communicating in this type of posted message board that causes arguments that simply wold not happen in people were talking face to face. This by far a much geltler, more respectful buliten board than 99% of those that have ever existed. Aside from the greatly reducded amought of negitivity, there also exists a great deal of unconditional Love. Again, I've only been here a week, but I have alreadly been felt the great amount of Love that people here have for each other. So if they have ahad experience with this kind of media, I would think that they would be fairly impressed. Honestly. The internet was around in '89?! :D
ReformationNow
My humble opinion of PM? It's the same as ANY Christian Message Board, Catholic or Protestant. You have some people who are loving and genteel in the way they deal with people, some people who are harsh, a few morons, and a few ultra-smart folk like me. We're all human. I think the Protestants who are criticizing the Catholics on this board for their reactions need to take a look around in our backyard first. Grow up. ReformationNow
Have I STATED the Catholic church is wrong? NO! I've stated I cannot accept the teachings...God gave me free will and I have chosen the prot way. So do you believe the Catholic Church is right or wrong? If right, why are you still a Protestant? The sheer magnitude of non-logic in your post was frightening. That would be akin to me saying that I believe murder to be wrong, but I'm still gonna go out and shoot people in the back of the head for getting in my way. skuba steve
funny... you're opinions are much much different to those which you have helped to form in me. One of them is. People who (generally) never admit that they are not perfect.

People who (generally) never admit that they are not perfect. Ummmm . . . Steve, when have you ever admitted you're not perfect? Your attitude has been one of "Everyone's picking on me! WAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!!" You're not lily-white in this, as much as you'd like to believe.
skuba steve
Many times. Here I go again: I'm not perfect.
Dave
Many times. Here I go again: I'm not perfect. Then how come you've tended to play the victim instead of being quick to admit when you're wrong?
notbilln
Ok, I'm not picking on you steve. Actually, I'm probely picking on myself. See, thats the thing. Everyone admits they're not perfect. Great, wonderful, Sublime. Its usually right after they've made a mistake and used as an excuse from trying harder, from changing. That is what hummans really fear dramatic change. Thats why we find a situation that is comfortable and then stop. I'm not sayign we will ever become perfect, but that shouldn't stop us from trying. Everyday we should strive to move closer to christ, and in turn strive to become more like him.
BLAZEr
Skooba dooba Stevie where are you? You're somewhere causing trouble. It's ok though, we all understand. We'll pray for the peace of Jesus. Jesus, we ask you to come into Skuba Steve's heart. We ask you to reveal to him the fullness of your teaching and the glory of the Church you have left here on earth to guide us. Do not allow him to persist in his ignorance and error, but illumine the darkness of his mind. We pray this through Jesus Our Lord. Amen.
