EcceNovaFacioOmni
Probably just chimp-like monkies like all the "hominids" that have been found over the years.

Laudate_Dominum
what weirds me out is the thing about homo erectus making boats to travel to this island so they could turn into hobbits. Boat building seems pretty sophisticated for a big dumb monkey dude. I bet those hobbit people were a lot like us. If they could make tools and all that I'll bet they could talk, draw, sing, dance, tell jokes, think about the meaning of life, etc.. And what if homo erectus (assuming they really did build boats) isn't all hairy and goofy looking like in the pictures? I'm not sure how they figure out how hairy someone was based on their bones. Maybe they were more like normal dudes with distinct features. I hope they find a cave man frozen in the ice somewhere with tools and things which destroy the current theories about how primitive those dudes were. I also wonder if people assume that the cave men were dumb and brute just because they didn't have all the stuff that we have (civilization, technology, etc), but one could draw this conclusion from examine the scraps from tribal people anywhere basically (eg. Amazon, Australia, Africa, America, etc..) but if you take a kid from some "primitive" society and raise them in the USA they will turn out like anyone else. In fact there have been geniuses from "primitive" societies. I've heard of native Americans who were educated by missionaries and turned out to be geniuses for example. Maybe the hobbit people were geniuses and we just don't know about it. Also it seems like hardly anything survives from way back then. Some of these people could have been living like Gilligan's Island but we just find a few scraps and assume that is all they had. If Homo Erectus can build a boat to relocate to some island, maybe the hobbits built a space craft and moved to another solar system. teehee j/k peace
