cmotherofpirl
I expect quite a bit out of humans, they are flawed but made in the image and likeness of God.

Good Friday
God Bless, ironmonk A Real Catholic who is following what Christ commands through His Church
Except for those gosh darn commands about humility vs. pride, huh? Anyone who defines himself as "a Real Catholic who is following what Christ commands through His Church" blatantly shows that he is not what he just claimed to be, because any "Real Catholic" would know that they fail to follow what Christ commands through His Church every day of their lives, and will continue to do so until they die. I guess you believe in OSAS now, huh?
Good Friday
And the above has nothing to do with Sen. Kerry, who I'm not even sure I'm voting for anymore. It has to do with the attitude in general.
Socrates
second I dont really belive in God dude srry to burst your bubble .... and i know the admendmants I going into politics when i get older
J.R.D., Seems pretty darned contradictory to have a sig with Jesus and quotes from the Pope and Mother Theresa and the Bible, and then say you don't believe in God!!! You also put your political party loyalty before your Faith - I think it's time you do some serious studying about both Faith and politics! (And you express an almost religious faith in the infallible righteusness of the Democratic Party, which an examination of the facts would very quickly prove wrong.) The fact that so many people seem to put their faith and trust in politicians and government instead of God is a big part of what's wrong in this country! Guest Aluigi
Ironmonk, he has somewhat of a point. While I love you and your direct and blunt approach to arguments (there was recently an awesome thread about the fruits of that approach), that phrase you used to sign your post was a bit of an extreme. While you are correct that to not vote for Kerry is to follow the commands of Christ and His Church, that emotionally charged finale was not necessary and can come accross as a personally prideful. I have no problem with saying "follow Christ and His Church and do not vote for Kerry" but the phrase labeling yourself as one who follows all the commands of the Church may or may not have been said with a prideful motivation, but it did COME ACROSS as prideful. I wouldn't be so quick to label your attitude prideful, only your words as coming across as prideful.

toledo_jesus
I can't wait til this election is behind us. I think we're getting to the point where we've lost sight of what's important and are just fighting. I mean all of America, not Phatmass. Every time I turn on the TV somebody says something that makes me mad, or I see somebody getting mad. It's a stressful time to be alive, I suppose. I want to live on an island and set up a monarchy. Guest Aluigi
oi, the curse of a democratic republic.. when you're choosing the leaders you violently debate the future and past, and everywhere in between you violently debate the present... there is no end i for one wouldn't mind a simple monarchy so i didn't have to worry about all this carp. if curruption ever happened, i'd just organize a coupe. that'd be more fun than arguing about it!
