Well, first, how was he? People get too emotional oftentimes about their sons (and maybe rightly so), but this can also cause them to forget their kids chose to join the military. He chose to be in the military. I bet he wasn't that mad about having to go.

By the way, John Kerry voted for us to go there.

Well, what will it do to Iraq? I know the Pope wants us to finish. He said so to Bush over the summer (August?) when they had an audience. If we take out our troops, then a tyrannical government will take over, and probably many of people, those who support the US being over there especially, could easily be killed. You have a coup (the government overthrown), an unstable situation, a mad government, and lots of riots and probably many, many more people dying than have already.

Not so sure about that one. I doubt it'll be even close. Kerry can't even kerry Michigan. Not to mention that the military polls show 75% of American forces will be casting absentees for his opponent.

First of all polls dont mean everything only because not EVERYONE dose them ...... And democrats have been getting motivation from some where lately Its kinda crazy

you could know 50 people in the military that aren't voting for bush, but they wouldn't be a sceintifically chosen cross-section and thus your experience would not be an accurate indicator. a poll is much more accurate.

but polls dont prove nothing

If we had a poll right now on fav candy

Then say M&M's win but in reality snickers will win because not everyone voted right?

He wasn't drafted remember. Nobody forced him to join the military.
He volunteered.

Most military people I know are voting for Bush.

but with the scientific ability to cross-section a group of people, polls tend to reflect the overall feeling of the group. there tends not to be a 75% margin of error, margin of error is usually below 10%. Polling places don't just take a bunch of random people, they have sophisticated techniques to see what people really think.

regardless, there is evidence by wide scale polling that cross sectioned the entire military showing the majority of the military supports bush. then there is your personal experience, the few people you know in the military hate bush. which is more likely to be true?
