Eminem's Video For Anti-Bush Song 'Mosh' Hits The

from mtv news :

Michael Moore, the "Fahrenheit 9/11" filmmaker who tried his hand at directing music videos with Rage Against the Machine, would certainly approve of Eminem's new clip, "Mosh," which has just hit the Internet.

A scathing indictment of President Bush and the war in Iraq (see "Em Changes Targets From Jacko To Bush On New Track 'Mosh' "), the animated video begins with the jarring image of a commercial airliner flying over a school and then exploding offscreen. The point of view then zooms into the school, where Eminem is reading a children's book to a class in a scene reminiscent of the minutes following the 9-11 attacks, when Bush was at a Florida elementary school reading to second graders. Eminem is holding his book upside down.

From there, "Mosh" moves to Eminem's apartment, where the walls are covered with articles critical of the Bush administration and its policies. Filled with anger, he puts on gloves and dons a hooded jacket. Clips of Em rapping the track are then interspersed with scenes of domestic problems facing the country, such as racial profiling (an animated Lloyd Banks is harassed by police) and poverty (an inner-city family receives an eviction notice as their TV set shows Bush promising tax cuts for the wealthy).

"Mosh" portrays Eminem as a powerful rebellious figure who just by using his voice and music has the ability to mobilize people who are fed up with the president. With his following uniformly dressed in dark hoodies, the group looks to be storming toward the White House but actually end up signing up to vote. At the same time in the song, Em talks about the people assembling to disarm what he calls the real weapon of mass destruction: George W. Bush.

A pro-vote message is tagged on at the end of the clip, directed by Ian Inaba of the Guerrilla News Network, which is hosting the video at GNN.tv. Eminem's Encore is due November 16.

How honorable of him to ignore the millions of children killed every year by abortion.

He's an entertainer. Stay out of politics Em--you end up looking like an idiot.

His song is set in a slow "fight music" style. It's annoying that the song is soo long, his style in it was somewhat different in a weird way but by the end I was ticked off.

What are you're opinions? Why do you hate Bush. I ask this because you seem to be rooting against a candidate instead of rooting for one. That's common for this election.

Dust, has bush completely outlawed abortion in the US? What makes you think America's unborn would be better off with Bush as President. Last I heard the only abortion Bush spoke against was partial-birth abortion...which is good, but what happens to the others?

Bush is a step in the right direction. The metaphor I invented:

Because we now legalize abortion on demand, we can be likened to a country standing in a big pile of manure. A 100% pro-life candidate would be like trying to jump both feet first out of the manure. But we're deeply sunk into it, if we tried to jump we'd fall flat on our face. President Bush is like taking one foot out of the pile of manure. It's a good action, let's get one foot out first, it's the only thing that is currently possible. Once we have the one foot out, it will be easier to get the other out, we'll use the precedent of the first foot to pull us out.

Now Kerry, voting for Kerry is like voting to build a fort out of the manure with impenetrable walls to protect America making sure it stays in the manure for years and years to come.

what is better?

i'll lend my words to this one.

has he? nope. but guess what--he's working on it. there's no possible way that we could just overthrow abortion in this country in one simple step--it couldn't happen. the unborn will have a much better chance of seeing life outside the womb if Bush is elected, for he is speaking against all forms of abortion (check out the Knights of Columbus website, where Pres. Bush spoke at their National Convention to thank them on their Pro-Life movements and contributions).

I saw the video tonight and all I really have to say is that if he feels that way about Bush he totally has the right to say it. I think what he portrayed in the video was an honest attempt to show the feelings of some people in the US. Also, just because he is an entertainer doesn't mean he can't voice his opinion, he just has the opportunity to voice it louder. I am a college kid, I don't have any background in politics, but I still advocate Bush when given the opportunity. I think Bush is better for the country, so I'll tell people that.

I think stars should stay out of politics and not incorporate their political views into their music because there are impressionable fans out there; just like teachers are supposed to keep their personal political views out of their classes (well supposed to...LOL).

I really hate Eminem's music he's so full of rage and all he seems to "rap" about is himself, his life, the people he hates, oh and one song I know about that is dedicated to his daughter. I wish Eminem was banned - same goes with all that other "rap" carp which continually degrades women in their film clips and are about sex, drugs, gang wars, etc etc. I'm not stating that all rap is carp though....
