Iraq and Al Quida

Bush said there was a link between Al Quida and Iraq. He was saying more than just the ideological link of terrorism. I think a council that investigated said there was no link there just a couple days ago. People are angry with the timing of course. And thus the legitimacy of the results too are in question.

But look at Richard Clarke. The guy that got fired that's documented in Moore's movie. Was intervied by Meet the Press and many other such news. He said the President gave them all an ultimadum and told them to make a link. Thre might be more I know. So I'm curious to see the othe rmovie. But someone's got to repsond to Bush's connection lie. I haven't seen anything yet to save Bush's reputation.

Couldn't care less if Iraq had ties or not. Saddam flayed people alive. He had wives raped in front of their husbands. It's too bad we haven't put a bullet in his head already.

Every nation that caves to the barbarians abducting people is sending the message that they can be cowed by such barbarity, and when the barbarians want cash, guess what they'll do.

We're not perfect. There's some things that I hope will not change about Iraq, but if we are allowed to teach them some of our better qualities (if we let Special Forces do what they do best), Iraq will stand a chance of resisting the tide in the Middle East.

"When I left office, there was a substantial amount of biological and chemical material unaccounted for. That is, at the end of the first Gulf War, we knew what he had. We knew what was destroyed in all the inspection processes and that was a lot. And then we bombed with the British for four days in 1998. We might have gotten it all; we might have gotten half of it; we might have gotten none of it. But we didn't know. So I thought it was prudent for the president to go to the U.N. and for the U.N. to say you got to let these inspectors in, and this time if you don't cooperate the penalty could be regime change, not just continued sanctions." -Former President William Jefferson Clinton

That "when clinton lied, nobody died" thing is a bunch of hooey. If one claims that saying Iraq had WMDs based on the intelligence known at the time, then one must say Clinton's lie made people die as well. The fact is that the President acted prudently defending America against what all of our intelligence said was an imminent threat.

Richard Clarke has contradicted himself so many times I don't think I'd believe anything he said now.

What investigation are you refering to?

I want to know why people have forgotten Abdul Rahman al-Shamari, who was a member of Saddam's secret police who admitted to trading with Al Quaida following the orders of Saddam? Yeah, it's from February.. but what discredits this first hand account? Nothing.

The 9-11 Commission found no connection of Saddam Hussein to the terrorist attack on 9-11. I think a recent report that came out, perhaps you're refering to but I can't think of the name, said there was no clear evidence found of a link between the two (though I'm wondering why people forget about the first hand testimony of people from the Saddam regime) but it also said a lot of other stuff talking about how Saddam was a major imminent threat.

To say that "Bush lied" when he said there was a direct link between Iraq and al Kieda's 9/11 attack is itself a lie! Bush never made such a claim and I challenge you to do the research to prove otherwise. I have to question the mental faculties of anyone who would use Michele Moore as a source of information.

Sorry to be so blunt.
