God Conquers
For the real beer drinkers, go with a black and tan. What is that, you say? Get a beer glass and pour Bass into the glass about halfway up. Then, using a spoon that is bent 90 degrees just above the spoon part, pour Guiness into the glass using the spoon to break the fall of the Guiness, setting the Guiness on top of the Bass. I hope I explained that well. Anyways, it's a great beer drink and is really cool to look at.
I like Black and Tans... the drink. I hate the real thing (Volunteer Protestant army from N Ireland commissioned by the British to quell the uprising south of their border (read kill Catholics) But I prefer the drink made with Harp, ratehr than Bass... makes it a little heavier... and 100% Guinness brewed. So sue me I forgot Manitoba! I'm an Ontarian who's half Anglophone quebecois and half Haligonian, living in that city... I was under the impression Manitobans could drink when they turned 12 anyways. Just kidding I love Manitoba.... it's really.... flat. and has lots of.... lakes and farms?..... Ukrainian food! Yes! I like the Ukrainian food! Dave
When I first responded to this thread, I thought they meant mainly mixed drinks, as that was what everyone was giving as their response. Well, I do like beer too. I really prefer Corona, Heineken, or Guinness. And wine too -- chardonnay is my favorite.

It's not like anything west of Kenora is really important, anyway. Now, Quebec, ah, Quebec... the memories of growing up a half hour away from the border between Ontario & Quebec up north... they... err... didn't take even the restriction of 18 very seriously. Lil Red
i  wine! my sister lives in Spokane, which has some great wineries, so every time I visit, we get a bottle of wine to share for dinner. she can't drink much though, because she's allergic to sulfites in wine.
