2 oz GOOD whiskey (Wild Turkey, Makers Mark, Woodford Reserve, etc.)
2 oz water
Lemon Wedge (squeezed into drink)
Lime Wedge (squeezed into drink)

Serve over ice. Adjust the proportions of whiskey and water as you see fit.

Perfect for drinking before heading out to watch some football.

Yea, this thread is making me sad too!!

A neighbor of ours is ex-military who still has buddies in the service that go over seas quite a lot. Mostly Europe. They bring him back cases of the good stuff. He brought us a bottle of wine straight from France. Of course this was about two weeks after we found out I was pregnant.

It is still sitting on our bar and I fully intend on sneaking it into the hospital with me come February.

Oh, and I love the Perfect Margarita from Applebee's, and a Key Lime Pie Martini

I'm a "girly drink" kinda gal. I like Strawberry Daiquiris and Kamikazes. I'd probably like Cosmopolitans, too, because they're almost the same as Kamikazes, except that they contain cranberry juice. I had a Kamikaze for the first time when I was 18, which I regret 'cause it was underage drinking. I generally don't drink much because I can't with the medication I'm on. Plus, alcoholism runs in my family, so I like to be nice and careful.

God bless,

Jen

I'm a tiny girl, so I'd probably be falling all over the place from one sip of that stuff! I've never tried it before, and I don't think I'd want to.

God bless,

Jen

I like lots of Alcoholic drinks, oh and I'm 17 but over here legal at 18, and I don't get carded - so its lucky.

by the way: what is the legal age in Canada, just because I might be visiting next year, and will need to know what to pack.

I think he means what would be termed "girly drinks"

"Manly drinks" are things like beer and whiskey on the rocks. :P

Lanie, I believe it depends on where in Canada you are... some places its 18 but I'm pretty sure in others its 21.

Not exactly... in Quebec, it's 18. Everywhere else, it's 19.
