IcePrincessKRS
AS Catholics we put what God wants first. There is a difference between having the Second sight as a gift and going and looking for it in someone else. THe first is ok , the second is not. Gaian, I think you need to read some of the posts a little better, like this one of Cmom's. No one denies that second sight is a gift God gives to some poeple, how its used however, can be sinful. Lil Red
if it happens in dreams and such, it could be a gift from God if you actively seek it out, you are prolly gonna fall into the grasp of the Devil Thanks, this puts my mind at ease. I haven't had any more dreams like that lately, but I usually have them 2ce a month or so.
Ash Wednesday
I've had dreams come true. They might mean something, they might not. Usually I acknowledge them but not pay them too much mind. I've had dreams come true and I just thought "how interesting" and that's about all. If I have an upsetting dream at times, I might just keep "on guard", that instinctively something might be up, but I don't live my life according to my dreams. What's more if I lived according to my dreams, I would approach the Kentucky Fried Chicken booth at the now-exploded Seattle Kingdome and would be asking for Duran Duran merchandise. Gaian Dreamer
I'm confused.... are you likening God, one of mercy, justice, grace, and love.....to Hitler?  If so, I guess I have to say I'm kind of offended. No, I am not, " Ruler ", " King ", " Emporer " seem to be in no way looked at as a bad thing on this fourm. I use Fuher as a term, not relating to Hitler at all. I in no way ment to offend, and I do apologize if you were offended in anyway. I have actually been very decent on this fourm, I have avoided saying many things, that all though perfectly good points, would seem harsh and rude, and I am not one to try and offend or upset. " Now, that its not bad, its " God did that. " It is to say the least, arrogant, I've seen many things happen and if they're good. " That was God. " And if its bad, is it the Devil? Brings to mind a second question...God created all, so he would of had to create the Devil, that just sounds like a sheild. Blame the Devil for his mistakes. A compedator for people to hate, making God the bright shiney alternative, and the good guy.

Umm.... do you not know how the devil came to be? I can explain it if you want. God's gifts are all good. He also created us with Free Will, the ability to choose one thing over another. Because we have Free Will we can choose evil over good, we can take the good gifts God gives us and use them for evil purposes. The devil turned away from God, and he wishes that we do the same. The devil chose to turn from God, he chose evil over infinite Good. God wants for us to follow Him, but gave us Free Will that we might do so of our own accord rather than be mindless drones programmed to do a certain set of things. Well, no I haven't even read a bible. To be honest...Bible paper creeps me out, its too freakin' thin. But thats all in well, yes, a perfect valid point, I expected one, there is always another way to look at something. But there is a fine like between. " This is my opinion, listen to it. " and " This is the truth, head to it. " Its one thing to voice an opinion, and another to claim truth. You claim God created us, created humanity. In my own views, humanity is a mistake, a big one at that. Free will, of course. But what do we do with it... Rape, pillage, plunder, murder, kill, lie, cheat, steal, consume, depleate, destroy. We populate, consume, move and repeat... Humanity is a very effective virus at the least. We have nukes? You think those are weapons of mass destruction, Humanity is a slow, but sure, planet killer. One, big beaver dam screw up. If your claims are ture, then god made one destructive speices...Why are we even still here if all we do is destroy his creature, but make him feel special by praying to him. The free will given seems totally pointless. I personally wouldn't mind being with out it, the only thing that I've found worth having free with for, would be the will to love, but perhaps thats God's reason too. Love is an amazing thing, once you have it, nothin' else matters. Who knows, maybe god is just another hopeless romantic, with a knack for creating a planet and life in every aspect. Thats one thing that boggles me, what the hell are the rest of the planets for if he only made us?... Also heard somewhere that the existance of aliens, who indefinatly proove the Christian religion wrong, know anything on that? Personally, its a good point, but " never before seen " pages of the bible can ture of claiming them the creation of god. Which is totally reasonable to me, If I were god I try a couple times, the way humanity turned out is only insentive to try else where.
musturde
If you can't help it then don't but if you can help it and ur making it worse porposely then it's bad..... Hey but don't give up, God's still okay with telekinesis.
musturde
existance of aliens wouldn't prove anything but that there is life besides ours, which we already know. Now if the aliens had emotions, prayed to god's and stuff like that, then there would be some freaky mess up
musturde
Read Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis. Then argue :)
IcePrincessKRS
If the paper they use to make Bibles with freaks you out so much that you don't even pick it up to see what it says I would suggest you pick up another book, like Mere Christianity which Musturde mentioned, just to see what Christians really believe about God. It might clear up a few things. I don't believe that humanity is in and of itself a mistake. I DO believe however that humans MAKE plenty of mistakes. Our mistakes aren't God's fault though. They are our fault. God created us to do good, we turn away from that. God isn't just a hopeless romantic, if you had read the Bible (you must have at least heard some Bible stories, though???) you'd know about Sodom and Gomorrah, and Noah's Ark--in those 2 instances God DID wipe out the evil mistakes of men. He also is a God of infinite love and mercy, which is why He will never wipe out His creation again as He promised Noah. "I will never again curse the ground because of man.... neither will I ever again destroy every living creature as I have done. While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night, shall not cease." Genesis 8:21-22. As wicked and destructive as we are/can be God will never wipe out His creation because He promised He wouldn't. I think that deserves a few prayers of thanksgiving if you ask me, otherwise most of us would have been wiped out several times over. (Did you want me to explain more about the fallen angels and the devil or not? I couldn't really tell with your answer....) So now I have a question for you. What makes your patron god and goddess--you said your were Druidic, and I'm not sure what that entails, but I'm guessing you have some sort of god that you pay homage to--what makes your god more desirable than my God? (Just curious here, thats not meant to be rude or anything, just an honest question.)
IcePrincessKRS
Oh, PS, I know nothing of any aliens that would prove that God doesn't exist. God doesn't need to try a couple times because He is omnipotent, perfect, HE doesn't make mistakes, He doesn't do things wrong and have to re-do them. WE make mistakes.
