ryanmeyersmusic
I figured I'd link to the [url="http://update.mozilla.org/extensions/?application=firefox"]EXTENSIONS[/url] I find most useful in Firefox, one of the features that makes it far superior, in my most humble opinion: [url="http://adblock.mozdev.org/index.html"]AdBlock[/url] - [url="http://downloads.mozdev.org/adblock/adblock-0.5-dev.xpi"](install)[/url] Filters out annoying advertisements all over the web. Never watch thosse stupid Flash ads again! I've got a pretty comprehensive fiddler list you can use here: [url="http://www.ryanmeyers.com/adblock.txt"]http://www.ryanmeyers.com/adblock.txt[/url] [url="http://jedbrown.net/mozilla/extensions/#BBCode"]BBCode[/url] - [url="http://jedbrown.net/dev/Mozilla/bbcode.xpi"](install)[/url] - Adds BBCode (like that used in the PHORUM!!!) to your menu when you right click in a post box. Even has smilies (although not all of the phatmass smilies... I might make a rebuild with all of them if there's enough requests) [url="http://jgillick.nettripper.com/copyplaintext/"]Copy Plain Text[/url] - [url="http://jgillick.nettripper.com/copyplaintext/copyplaintext.xpi"](install)[/url] If you've ever copied something from a website and pasted into Word, you've probably been annoyed that it keeps all the fonts, tables, etc. Now it won't!! [url="http://cute.mozdev.org/"]CuteMenus[/url] - [url="http://downloads.mozdev.org/cute/cutemenus04.xpi"](install)[/url] Adds "cute" icons to menus. Doesn't add function, but makes for a nicer looking browser. [url="http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=61134"]Disable Targets for Download[/url] - [url="http://extensions.cusser.net/disabletarget/disabletarget.xpi"](install)[/url] Keeps blank tabs or windows from opening when you download links that have blank targets associated with them (silly web designers). This also fixes links to downloads in the phorum, since it automatically gets a blank target. [url="http://dmextension.mozdev.org/"]Download Manager Tweak[/url] - [url="http://downloads.mozdev.org/dmextension/downloadmgr_062.xpi"](install)[/url] Tweaks the Download Manager (another great feature of Firefox!). Allows you to choose which buttons to display, where to display them, and (my favorite feature) allows you to open the Manager in a tab instead of a new window (you can also open it in the sidebar). [url="http://downloadstatusbar.mozdev.org/"]Download Statusbar[/url] - [url="http://downloads.mozdev.org/downloadstatusbar/downbar/downbar.xpi"](install)[/url] Adds a statusbar for downloads and what to display on them. Also allows for automatic virus scanning of downloads! [url="http://twanno.mozdev.org/"]Duplciate Tab[/url] - [url="http://downloads.mozdev.org/twanno/duplicatetab-0.3.xpi"](install)[/url] Gives you the option of duplicating a tab. Nice if you want to keep a tab open with a particular phorum thread. [url="http://moonwolf.mozdev.org/"]EMButtons[/url] - [url="http://downloads.mozdev.org/moonwolf/embuttons-0125.xpi"](install)[/url] Similar to the Download Manager Tweak, except this time for the Extension Manager and Theme Manager. Sorts alphabetically, removes superfluous images and descriptions, etc. [url="http://www.extensionsmirror.nl/index.php?showtopic=40&hl=external+application"]External Application Buttons[/url] - [url="http://www.extensionsmirror.nl/extfirefox/External_Application_Buttons_0.6.7.xpi"](install)[/url] Puts buttons for external apps (text editor, e-mail, ftp, etc) on your toolbar. [url="http://www.extensionsmirror.nl/index.php?showtopic=617&hl=favicon+picker"]FavIcon Picker[/url] - [url="http://www.extensionsmirror.nl/extfirefox/Favicon_Picker_0.2.5.xpi"](install)[/url] I had an icon for phatmass long before Mary appeared, and this is how! Lets you put images on all of your bookmarks, whether or not their webmaster has offered one. [url="http://googlebar.mozdev.org/index.html"]Googlebar[/url] - [url="http://www.extensionsmirror.nl/extfirefox/GoogleBar_0.9.0.29.xpi"](install)[/url] Adds the googlebar (similar to the one for IE) to firefox. Adds searches, directory browsing, syntax highlighting, and more. One of the most functional tools, in my opinion. [url="http://ieview.mozdev.org/"]IEView[/url] - [url="http://downloads.mozdev.org/ieview/ieview.xpi"](install)[/url] For those sites that just REFUSE to display outside of Internet Explorer, this adds a context menu item to open up the page in IE. [url="http://imagezoomer.mozdev.org/"]Image Zoomer[/url] - [url="http://downloads.mozdev.org/imagezoomer/imagezoomer-v0_2.xpi"](install)[/url] Lets you double the size of images in pages. Very nice when you're in high-resolution and can't read an image. [url="http://menueditor.mozdev.org/"]Menu Editor[/url] - [url="http://downloads.mozdev.org/menueditor/menuedit.xpi"](install)[/url] Lets you clean up the "Tools" menu and context menu when it gets bloated with items. [url="http://www.extensionsmirror.nl/index.php?showtopic=161"]MiniT[/url] - [url="http://www.extensionsmirror.nl/extfirefox/MiniT_20040920_pass3.xpi"](install)[/url] Adds a bunch of tab-related functions. My can't-do-withouts are: drag-and-drop (allows you to reorder tabs) and mousewheel scrolling through tabs. Also allows you to turn on/off Javascript for a particular tab, and more. One of the ones I can't operate as I'd like to without. [url="http://www.cosmicat.com/extensions/timestatus/"]Statusbar Clock[/url] - [url="http://update.mozilla.org/extensions/install.php/statusbarclock_1.6.4.xpi?id=52&vid=763"](install)[/url] Adds a clock with date/time info on the statusbar. [url="http://extensionroom.mozdev.org/clav/#tabx"]TabX[/url] - [url="http://downloads.us-east3.mozdev.org/clav/tabx.xpi"](install)[/url] Adds a small X that will close tabs to each tab. It's helpful, I promise! [url="http://www.pryan.org/mozilla/site/TheOneKEA/tabprefs/"]Tabbrowser Preferences[/url] - [url="http://www.pryan.org/mozilla/site/TheOneKEA/tabprefs/tabprefs_0.6.14.xpi"](install)[/url] Adds preferences for a lot of tab-related things. [url="http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=72992"]Undo Close Tab[/url] - [url="http://mozilla.dorando.at/undoclosetab.xpi"](install)[/url] The anti-oops! When you accidentally close a tab, this keeps you from having to look through your history. Just click the "Undo Close Tab" and there it is again! [url="http://weatherfox.mozdev.org/"]Weatherfox[/url] - [url="http://update.mozilla.org/extensions/install.php/weatherfox-0.5.1.xpi?id=268&vid=979"](install)[/url] Adds customizable local weather to your statusbar. Even has images! Uses feeds from The Weather Channel, and only works in U.S. [url="http://www.chrispederick.com/work/firefox/webdeveloper/"]Web Developer[/url] - [url="http://downloads.mozdev.org/webdeveloper/webdeveloper.xpi"](install)[/url] Adds invaluable tools for web designers (pro or amateur) like on-the-spot css editing, outlining various elements, and tons of other things. Just to let y'all know how great it is, I used the BBCode extension to make all of the links in this post! [color=#FF0000]I[/color] [b]can[/b] [i][color=#66FFFF]also[/color][/i] [u][color=#993399]do[/color][/u] [color=#FF9900]this![/color]

Make sure that you only allow sites that you're installing something from ON PURPOSE!

ryanmeyersmusic
Forgot another of my can't-do-withouts! [url="http://www.extensionsmirror.nl/index.php?showtopic=166&hl=session+saver"]Session Saver[/url] - [url="http://www.extensionsmirror.nl/extfirefox/Session_Saver_0.2d2_nightly23_pass1.xpi"](install)[/url] Remembers all the tabs you had open when you closed the browser and reloads them when you start it up.
