maybe i'm stupid, but why is the dad saying 'uh oh' to the sign in your comic jmj?

also, Ironmonk rocks. His entire life story is summed up in this cartoon from envoy

LOL... Thanks bro.

Just a note to those who don't know the story... I've been reading the bible since I was six, really got into it at 12... not because anti-Catholics were attacking me... anti-Catholics started attacking me long after I knew the bible... but it was an anti-Catholic that got me to learn the Sacred Tradition. You can read my story here: http://www.baptistboard.net/board/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=33

because the dad is saying, "Uh, oh. What did Calvin do?" because obviously Calvin did something that he knows he will be in trouble for, like breaking a window playing ball in house....so the sign says, hate the sin love the sinner.......

There's time for many different methods. the trick is to know when to use the fist, when to use the open hand.
AMEN!

Ironmonks material has helped me on several occasions.

The Monk is correct 99% of the time (Don't get mad cause I didn't say 100% and please don't ask me to find the 1%) and most folks don't like to be wrong. Some people say abrasive...... Charity is a tougher virtue than it sounds.

Max is an acquired taste. With some people, his method is undoubtedly helpful. With others, it can get in the way. It's like that with everyone, though. I'm sure my method annoys some people yet brings others closer to Catholicism. I know this for a fact. Max is particularly effective with those who are stubborn, tough, and able to withstand a couple of hard punches to the nose, figuratively speaking. ;)

God bless,

Jennifer

To be honest, Max has annoyed me on occasion, but I don't dislike him. I've always liked that he's a real man who just doesn't take carp. Nowadays, you don't see many old school men like that. He's a breath of fresh air.

God bless,

Jennifer

in the past Ironmonk has irritated me more than anyone else on phatmass, but it is usually because I was wrong; mostly about the faith and politics stuff. I don't agree with you 110% of the time, but Max you do a really good job. You might be interested to know I decided to switch parties and become a Republican last month... who.... is supporting... BUSH! I don't post much because I don't have you to argue with anymore.

The fact is I have corrected Monk on a couple of occassions and he has taken it with humility. It has been rare that he has needed such correction.

Blessings
