Cathurian
Okay...how exactly do you get to know a guardian angel? And how do they...guard, for lack of a better word? Are they watching from Heaven, following you around, or what? Cause just now I was praying and got really into it and I felt something and I turned around and I expected to see an angel, cause I thought someone was there. o_o This was exceedingly odd and I think someone may be trying to tell me something. Moosey
I always thought of them always standing with you. I've also heard of people seeing their guardian angles at some point, my cousin did.
XIX
I've also heard of people seeing their guardian angles at some point, my cousin did.
Wow, when I'm about to sleep, I seriously feel like I see this flash of light that goes before my eyes. Only, it's not really a light or anything. It's just this white presence. I wonder... FutureSoror
Here's what the Catechism says about them: The angels in the life of the Church 334 In the meantime, the whole life of the Church benefits from the mysterious and powerful help of angels.[201] 335 In her liturgy, the Church joins with the angels to adore the thrice-holy God. She invokes their assistance (in the Roman Canon's Supplices te rogamus. . .["Almighty God, we pray that your angel..."]; in the funeral liturgy's In Paradisum deducant te angeli. . .["May the angels lead you into Paradise. . ."]). Moreover, in the "Cherubic Hymn" of the Byzantine Liturgy, she celebrates the memory of certain angels more particularly (St. Michael, St. Gabriel, St. Raphael, and the guardian angels). 336 From infancy to death human life is surrounded by their watchful care and intercession.[202] "Beside each believer stands an angel as protector and shepherd leading him to life."[203] Already here on earth the Christian life shares by faith in the blessed company of angels and men united in God. I've always thought of my guardian angel being always beside me. I often think of my guardian angel for helping me out when I do things like almost trip down the stairs or fall on the ice, although I'm not sure if that's what he's really doing. They are always watching out for us and praying for us, it's too bad we always seem to be forgetting about them. I should talk to mine a whole lot more. heyyoimjohnny
I always thought of mine walking with me. Or hovering, cuz they have wings and, y'know, they might as well use them. lol. I love my guardian angel. There's been so many close calls... and as an unbeliever in luck, Hwio's the answer. I named him Hwio; it stands for "He Who Is Overworked." He's awesome, I tell ya. It is so comforting knowing I'm never alone...
AfroNova No Limit Soldier
wasn't there another thread about guardian angels recently? about how Padre Pio sent his guardian angel to be with his spiritual children. I never knew that. but I have been doing it for the past week. It works! Blessed be God! Thank you my angel! Yeah I've heard my guardian angel before. Never seen him though. Totally opposite with the saints. I've seen some saints, but never heard them. It's like I'm deaf. Oh, and I heard you get different guardian angels as your faith journey proceeds. Anyone else heard this?

Theoketos
You get to know your angel by talking to him, in prayer. Ask him/her to come off the side lines.
